I just love doing the certifications and observing the charts. It pleases my little, autistic brain.

Separate imo - one for each week

I'll be continuing to do the certifications every Friday. It'll be a nice distraction.

It's not ironic at all. "Snow Is Falling" or "Ice Ice Baby" would be an ironic certification during a heatwave, not a song about a heatwave.... 😃

Some great certs this week!

Echoing the love for "My Delirium"! Was obsessed with it when released 18 years ago... As well as the album!

Also great to see Mary J. Blige's "Real Love" certified silver - an R&B classic. Shame it only managed to peak at #68 in the UK.

Peaked at #26 on re-release in 1993.

I can't believe Tina Turner's The Best is certified for 600,000 more units than Whats Love Got To Do With It. The latter song is far superior and more signature Tina in my opinion.

The former became associated as a football anthem which is why it became a top 10 hit again in 2010 & re-charted at #25 in 2023.

That's good to know, I shouldn't use Wikipedia's overview next time!

Yeah i never understood the rain ok your wedding day line, like everything else makes sense but getting married has no correlation to the weather

It's terrible weather that connotes sadness on what's meant to be the happiest day of your life... that's pretty ironic!

I dunno everyone on social media seems happy with the rain this week 🤣

As Ed Byrne said, it's ironic only if you're marrying a weather forecaster and they've set the date.
