Wednesday at 19:491 day Author 14=Sabrina CarpenterBusy Woman225 points13Tate McRaeSports car233 pointsJoint with Ed Sheeran's Azizam for #14 is Sabrina Carpenter with the first of three appearances here in the final. Initially on a limited edition of her sixth album Short 'n' Sweet, Busy Woman became a single for the deluxe edition of said album but BuzzJack's least favourite of her three poll-toppers. Tate McRae's final appearance here sees Sports car finish not too far ahead of NOBODY'S GIRL and outside the top 10; the third single from her third album So Close to What. And perhaps more surprisingly, a co-write with Julia Michaels.

Sabrina Carpenter's second appearance in the final, Manchild, lands just outside the top 10, the lead single from her latest album Man's Best Friend. How high will her final track of the week Tears make it? Lily Allen had to be represented in one of the weekly polls following the surprise release of her album West End Girl, and with Madeline playlisted the following week she stormed the poll after BuzzJack fell in love with her all over again.
Wednesday at 19:591 day Awww shame 'Madeline' missed the top 10 but not too fussed about the other three,
Wednesday at 20:011 day 'Madeline' and 'Sports car' are my biggest casualties since I last posted!Pleasantly surprised that 'Tears' is Sabrina's best performing song *.*
Wednesday at 21:191 day Author 10BLACKPINKJUMP276 points9Sabrina CarpenterTears278 pointsJust two points separating the first two songs in the top 10. At #10 we have JUMP by BLACKPINK, the lead single from their upcoming project Deadline and ahead of them at #9 is the third and final song from Sabrina Carpenter to appear in the final, Tears. The second single from her seventh album Man's Best Friend, Tears immediately ruffled feathers with its lyrics among the wider public still adjusting to Sabrina's tongue-in-cheek approach but alas it's one of the best offerings on what ultimately ended up being quite a simple, understated album compared to Short 'n' Sweet.
Wednesday at 21:321 day Author 8JADEChurch280 points7Taylor SwiftThe Fate of Ophelia293 pointsOnly another two points separate JADE at #7 and Sabrina Carpenter below her. Our other artist with three songs in the final, the first of those to fall for Jade is Church, taken from the deluxe edition of her debut album THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!. That leaves FUFN (f*** You For Now) and Plastic Box (in alphabetical order x) still standing. Taylor Swift came back fresh from finishing the Eras Tour with her twelfth studio album The Life of a Showgirl, and the lead single from that - The Fate of Ophelia - saw her launching into charts domination once more.
Wednesday at 21:361 day 'Church' was my song of the year. Incredible. 'The Fate of Ophelia' is right up there as one of Taylor's best lead singles! 'Fortnight', 'Love Story' & 'cardigan' are the 3 that contend with it! All soooo good!
Wednesday at 21:431 day Author 6Addison RaeHeadphones On306 points5Chappell RoanThe Subway325 pointsWith two songs making it all the way to the top 6, the first of those for Addison Rae finishing at #6 is Headphones On. Critically becoming one of the best songs of 2025, the fourth single from her debut album Addison made quite the impression here on BuzzJack too. Shameless plug, but Headphones On also did quite well for our Jade who entered The Pop Factor with Addison. Ahead of her we have Chappell Roan who finally released a studio version of The Subway having performed it live for quite some time but feeling that it was always suited to that intimate setting. Still riding the wave that her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess and its singles have had, it and the continued momentum came at the perfect time for her.
Wednesday at 21:581 day Author 4Addison RaeFame is a Gun326 points3JADEPlastic Box352 pointsFame is a Gun ends up being Addison Rae's highest-placing song in the final at #4. Succeeding Headphones On as the fifth single from her debut album, Addison communicates her relationship with fame on this single in a really honest way and it certainly translates well into a nice synth-pop bop. Throwing the ball back to JADE as we enter the top 3 now, and her single Plastic Box takes the bronze medal on the podium. Quite understated and a shift in tone compared to her other singles, but we still have more to come from Jade. We're now left with FUFN (f*** You For Now) and Abracadabra by Lady Gaga fighting to be named Pop Track of the Year 2025!
Wednesday at 22:001 day FUFN beat 'Plastic Box'??? I would have bet my house on PB beating FUFN! But congrats to Gaga!
Wednesday at 22:101 day YESSS!! Go FUFN! My song of the year, so deserving of being in the top two pretty sure Gaga will beat it but still WHAT A RESULT!
Wednesday at 22:151 day Author 2JADEFUFN (f*** You For Now)365 pointsPop Track of the Year 2025Lady GagaAbracadabra418 pointsFUFN (f*** You For Now) - maybe surprisingly? - beats out Plastic Box to claim silver position. Managing to create an album of endless bops so brilliant that connect with the fanbase that loved Little Mix for exactly that for so many years since their formation is testament to Jade, and with three singles in the top 10, even more of an accomplishment (is she here to say a few words? x). But alas, the Pop Track of the Year 2025 is none other than Abracadabra by Lady Gaga. The lead single from her album MAYHEM, Abracadabra immediately captured the world's attention again, and dare I say visually it felt like a return to form. What we know Lady Gaga gives us so reliably both visually and aurally. Congratulations Joanne! And thank you to everybody that took the time to vote in the final round.Full results:1 418 Lady Gaga - Abracadabra2 365 JADE - FUFN (F**k You For Now)3 352 JADE - Plastic Box4 326 Addison Rae - Fame Is a Gun5 325 Chappell Roan - The Subway6 306 Addison Rae - Headphones On7 293 Taylor Swift - The Fate of Ophelia8 280 JADE - Church9 278 Sabrina Carpenter - Tears10 276 BLACKPINK - JUMP11 266 Lily Allen - Madeline12 250 Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild13 233 Tate McRae - Sports car14= 225 Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman14= 225 Ed Sheeran - Azizam16 213 Perrie - If He Wanted to He Would17 211 Robyn - Dopamine18 190 Benson Boone - Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else19 175 Tate McRae - NOBODY'S GIRL20 153 Girls Aloud - Singapore (Definitive Version)
Wednesday at 22:171 day Not even close in the end then! Can't begrudge Gaga the win even if I was rooting for Jade xThanks for running this Calum, it's been a fun countdown!
Wednesday at 22:181 day Fame Is a Gun is a good song I think it takes a lot of inspiration production wise from early 80s new wave like The Cure - The Walk and Icehouse - Hey Little Girl.Prefer FUFN out of the final 2.
Wednesday at 22:351 day Thanks Calum for presenting these results! I really appreciated all the work that goes into making these polls week after week, so thank you for continuing and providing another fun pop staple for us all. ❤️
Wednesday at 23:251 day Oops I did mean to vote in this but I forgor (I don't think the thread got bumped towards the end of the deadline tbf 👀) - 'Abracadabra' would certainly have ranked very near the top for me as well anyway so a good if predictable winner x Pleasantly surprised that 'Fame Is A Gun' finished higher than 'Headphones On' even without my votes! 'FUFN (Fuck You For Now)' and especially 'The Subway' are good to have in the top 5 too (think the latter would have got my top points). Also the correct Sabby Carpz song to be her highest. Lily and Robyn should definitely be higher though. x
