Welcome to Pop Track of the Week 2026!

Each week, new releases from the worlds of pop and country are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner. The winners will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year - at the end of each quarter and again at the end of the year - to determine the ultimate winner of 2026.

Week 3 results:

Slayyyter - DANCE... 10

Hilary Duff - Roommates 6

Megan Moroney - Wish I Didn't 5

Charlie Puth - Beat Yourself Up 2

Tove Styrke - Prayer 2

Lily Moore - Castles in the Sky 1

Sofia and the Antoinettes - Hi My Love 1

ENHYPEN - Knife 0

googly eyes - Bruises on the Peach 0

LØLØ - 007 0

Nessa Barrett - High on Heaven 0

Sydney Rose feat. Tom Odell - Over 0

Total votes: 27

Lots of love for the songs on the podium in Week 3 but Slayyyter takes the win with DANCE..., from her EP of the same name, while Hilary Duff continues to rack up the support on BuzzJack with her comeback building to new album luck... or something being released in February. Megan Moroney grabs the attention of some with her single Wish I Didn't.

Week 4:

Choose one song that is your favourite from the selection of new releases this week. Feel free to post a rate of the songs in the thread.

Here are this week's contenders:

Britton - PAPERCUT

Ella Boh - iNSOMNiAC

girli - Slap on the Wrist

Harry Styles - Aperture

Holly Humberstone - To Love Somebody

Jessie Ware - I Could Get Used to This

Kamal. - how the f*** does everybody else manage?

LEGZDINA - RIBBON

Loreen - Feels Like Heaven

Louis Tomlinson - Imposter

Naomi Scott - Losing You

XG - HYPNOTIZE

Results of this week's poll will be revealed in next week's thread. The poll will remain open until 04:59 on Friday!

Quite a few songs here that didn’t wind up on my radar (and I save a good 40 songs to new music playlist to listen to each week) so I’ll have to check out whoever this Kamal and LEGZDINA are!

Kamal. did have a UK top 40 hit before! (With a blink and you'll miss it collab on what was effectively a B-Side by Dave but still sarah)

Listened to all of them (and LEGZDINA was a good discovery, so thanks for that!) and the answer would be Agnes - LOVESONGS of every new song this week but of these choices, I’m the lone voter for XG with another big banger.

1 Ella Boh

2 girli

3 Loreen

4 Louis Tomlinson

5 Harry Styles

6 LEGZDINA

7 XG

8 Jessie Ware

9 Holly Humberstone

10 Naomi Scott

11 Kamal.

12 Britton

My vote going to another artist I've not previously heard of, very cool sounding song there. The lyrics are quite an oof in the girli song, good pop punky tune. Liking the production on the Loreen song. Louis' is definitely an improvement on 'Lemonade' but minus points for him spelling the title wrong x It's good to see Harry Styles experimenting and the instrumental on this song is also quite good but I'm not finding the core tune to be particularly memorable, hoping it might be a grower but it's underwhelming for now. Though not as underwhelming as the Jessie Ware song which is just ~fine~ along with the rest of 6-10. Didn't care for the last two.

My personal rankings for Week 3;

  1. Loreen – Feels Like Heaven

  2. Louis Tomlinson – Imposter

  3. XG – HYPNOTIZE

  4. Holly Humberstone – To Love Somebody

  5. LEGZDINA – RIBBON

  6. girli – Slap on the Wrist

  7. Harry Styles – Aperture

  8. Jessie Ware – I Could Get Used to This

  9. Ella Boh – iNSOMNiAC

  10. Britton – PAPERCUT

  11. Naomi Scott – Losing You

  12. Kamal. – how the f*** does everybody else manage?
