I honestly don’t know what’s going to topple Olivia? I can see it going back to Number 1 after the Brits if it gets a reset!

‘Rein Me In’ coming for a Brits performance, snatching the award for song of the year and climbing to #1 - much to the dismay of 95% of Buzzjack

That song needs to be reined in 🙄 I just don't get the fuss!

Hopefully we get surprise music from a major artist and that finally gets some new stuff to the top of the charts. New music from Olivia Rodrigo seems the most likely to be that difference at the minute.

Was surprised at how well Noah started on day one but glad to see it. Hasn’t clicked with me yet but hope he manages to nab a top 10 placing this week, seems to have stabilised reasonably well after the initial drop.

I'd be suprised if fans pick Rein Me In, surely if going off popularity it be Man I Need

Quickly scanned Apple for some Grammy Award boosts, lots of rises for Olivia Dean who won Best New Artist, these also seem to be directly related to specific performances / award wins:

18 sombr - 12 to 12 (+1) - performed

29 Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild (+4) - performed

36 Billie Eilish - WILDFLOWER (+72) - song of the year winner

58 Lola Young - Messy (+13) - best pop solo performance winner + performed

107 Justin Bieber - YUKON (NEW) - performed

146 Bad Bunny - DtMF (NEW) heart - from the album that won album of the year, Bad Bunny is also up to #5 on the Apple albums chart

I do think this year is crying out for a big smash hit release that is gonna take off and spend multiple weeks with high sales. Harry is probably the closet but after huge day 1 numbers he’s now falling off a cliff

But who's still active as a musician and could have that kind of pull? There's not many names left that could do it - the days of pop superstars having success for elongated periods are dead - if anything becomes a smash hit it's going to be through Tik Tok or film or TV and probably someone new sadly.

Sam Fender fans are a dedicated bunch though.

There’s still a handful of names that I reckon could release and do huge numbers, I do agree it’s becoming increasingly harder to do that these days, like you say it’s more stuff going viral that takes off now. But I do think there’s still a select few that can still pull it off

We’ve had big releases this year after only 4 weeks just theyve all fallen off after a few days. There isn’t many bigger pop stars in 2026 than Harry Styles.

I think it proves that no matter who you are if your song doesnt click with the public longevity and huge numbers arnt guaranteed

Perhaps something from Harry's album could take off? Wouldn't surprise me if they've got a more commercial song lined up next.

I’d take it!!

The only new hits we’ve had this year have been Bruno/Harry/Noah/Stateside/Chanel!

I think there’s a chance this could happen, I think the only reason this one has fallen so quickly is because it’s not very commercial at all, also very lengthy. If he has another song lined up similar to as it was I think that could maintain big numbers and take off
