Monday at 21:453 days Congrats to ABBA, Kelly and Lily for making it to part 2 that trio did seem like a pretty obvious outcome but this contest has the ability to surprise, so could never be totally sure. What a comeback Lily has had after originally losing out to HAIM in the battle rounds. Intrigued to see what her mentor goes for next. I have a clear favourite remaining for both ABBA and Kelly, but Lily less so now 'Smile' has been used.Well done Jay and ElectroBoy for taking Conan so far! I discovered 'Never Ending Song' back when it originally came out and thought he had potential with that '80s sound, yet never ended up delving further. So I'm pleased to be more well acquainted with his discography now and may have to give Found Heaven a go in full.Nice one Wardy for doing so well with Scissor Sisters too. 'Invisible Light' is one of my big favourites of theirs so I was particularly happy you unleashed that and succeeded with it. I get why you didn't opt for 'I Can't Decide' for this round, especially when more left-field picks have not been particularly well rewarded in these later stages, but it was in my head as it's their most streamed song (!) - as well as being a quirky personal favourite. I approve of 'Comfortably Numb' as your hypothetical last choice - a cover that seems bewildering on paper, yet is compelling in its own way.Good luck to the remaining three acts 🤩
