It's East Rukahavian who have the record for last place finishes in both finals (8) and semi-finals (16). Maybe not the most prestigious records but records nonetheless!(I am actually joint 2nd for most last place finishes in the final lol ~ myself and Greenfroze have 5 each, my tally has been heftily bumped up with getting 3 wooden spoons in the last year and a half)

You’d finish last, Sharon!! 🤣 Edited February 4Feb 4 by Nine And ¾

February 5Feb 5 Congrats @Scene ! Lovely to see First Aid Kit do so well. Loved them for ages (The Lion's Roar, Stay Gold, Emmylou <3 ) but I missed some of their newer releases so this was a great reintroduction for me.
February 5Feb 5 I'm trying to understand the logic behind First Aid Kit being ranked high, and Florence Road lower. La Nina is high, and Zetak who knows where. Based on what did you predict Seyetana for the last places, and she ended up 12th. My head is spinning round round 😵💫
February 5Feb 5 Thank you for the great hosting Dan!Considering how the results were going, 25th is alright for KAS:ST but thought it could’ve done better! 2nd in the semi with 116 points is a crazy drop-off though! Thank you to those who voted and enjoyed my Faithless soundalike 😂 justice for Aeroche did not see that coming as low as it did, especially after all the solid predictions! Glad to have called First Aid Kit as a winner! They just have a sound that is so wide appealing to BJSC that I thought it would just hoover up points left right and centre! Very well done Scene who’s had some cracking entries so far but had a bit of a rough 2025! Excited to see what a contest in Cheiron looks like hopefully! Also v happy for my 18 to come second. Valencia Grace as an artist is ridiculous but Lucky You’re A Star just teeters on the right side of annoying 😂 one of my favourite discoveries for a while from the contest!
February 5Feb 5 Absolutely thrilled with 2nd place! This now means that Hushkanukia finally has all 3 medal positions and my 2nd top 3 in a row! Thank you to everyone who voted. 🩵Massive congratulations to Scene! Such a well deserved winner.I also imagine Dan is thrilled that he didn’t have to announce the win to his least favourite country… 😂 Edited February 5Feb 5 by Cameron
February 5Feb 5 Wow - that was a close race except for the winner. Congrats @Scene - well deserved winner. That was a great push for the Zephyra Continuum - thanks to @awardinary , @jakee and @Harve . Thanks to all 21 nations giving points to us. 15 is a great placing and it were just 10 points to the Top 10 and one point to #12.Thank you @danuary for the great hosting.
February 5Feb 5 Thank you for all the kind messages people! ❤️ and thank you Dan for an amazing contest expertly hosted. ❤️Just getting in here early to say no chance I’ll have time/energy to host BJSC 182. Too many deadlines until May am afraid!
February 5Feb 5 Catching up on all the results this morning. Quite amazing results on the whole. I can’t think of a time when 6/7 of the top 7 were in my votes. My tastes don’t normally align with the rest so much. It’s also one of my favourite winners since I’ve been entering. It may not be a discovery but it’s a song I’ve adored for years so I couldn’t give my 18 to anything else. People should listen to the whole ‘Palomino’ album really but I’d recommend ‘Angel’ and ‘The Last One’ especially if you’re short for time. It’s funny that I’ve loved ‘Out of my Head’ for years and never once thought it’d be suited to BJSC, so in many ways it’s a surprise hit to me. Great choice from Cheiron to have the foresight to send it. I’m excited to visit there next month. EDIT: Oh… or not ^ .. hahahahaThe only bad thing is I can’t help but be a little disappointed with Florence Road missing the top ten. When I sent it, I had no expectations of it getting hype but the it’s easy to get carried away when you see the predictions thread. 14th is a good result for Ajanaeda in comparison to our mean average final position, so yay!And it’s still awesome to see my entry connected enough with people to get a few medal positions from various countries so a big thank you to them. I’ve booked to see Florence Road on tour this May so keep an eye out if they’re visiting a city near you 👀 Edited February 5Feb 5 by Josh!
February 5Feb 5 Congrats on the first win! The top 10 is very strong and it feels like it has plenty of names that don't usually make the top 10. I mean the only nation finishing top 10 that was in 2025's EOY top 10 this contest was Fljotavik. Is that a calculable statistic???Thanks for the votes for Octo Octa, the only metric by which that is a disappointing result by her is the fact that she did surprisingly well last February. I think on paper that track was a bit too niche to do must better than 34th but I do love it! Also very glad to have qualified at all as there was quite a big semi to final drop-off so it might not have been so lucky in the other semi. Edited February 5Feb 5 by Harve
February 5Feb 5 congrats Scene on the first win! Also really happy to see Valencia and Faouzia in the top 3, pop really is back 🩵ngl I was considering going the alt bloc route next contest but after today… I’ll need to think about things
February 5Feb 5 Well done Scene, congratulations on your first win. Always lovely to see a new winner <3 I don’t think I would have spotted it as a winner before the odds started to roll in but it’s a good song. Also go Colm bagging a first top 10 hit! Another I wouldn’t have guessed but I loved it as entry, kinda Lemon Jelly vibes going on there.I am so relieved that Faouzia didn’t flop! I know it was predicted to do well but I was definitely noticing that there wasn’t actually anyone saying that they liked it so had readied myself for it not doing as well. Thank you in particular to the 5 of you that gave it 18 - there can’t be many songs that get an 18 from both Jonjo and Brer!!!Thanks Dan for hosting, as reliable and impeccable as ever
