Not being on the SyncTube means I don't really have any read on what songs were popular but I'm going to take a stab of a prediction at Submarine doing quite well ~

Juranamo previously sent British indie-pop singer Remi Nicole’s sadly underperforming single Rock N Roll to BJSC, many (many) years ago. Back for a second go, will it do better in Bop Idol? The opening 12 goes to perhaps the most discussed entry of the contest as we Get The Party On with the legendary Cheeky Girls! Kim-Lian’s Pop Princesses album classic gets its first silver medal.

That Remi Nicole song is basically the same song concept as English Teacher's 'R&B' which was in BJSC a couple of years back.

Just a quick note that due to the scoreboard being presented with a programme I made for BJSC 180, to get all the other detail and stats on there I won't be updating each scoreboard with who sent what (as I couldn't work out a quick way to automate that oops).

But I will update the opening post as we go along to match each member with their artist so you can keep track.

Famed festival progressive house/mainstage EDM fan uhsting is behind Project 46, which is yet to get off the mark. But they award a first 12, and indeed, first points to Eir Aoi! 10 for Kelis sees Scream leap into second place while another bronze for Crystal Castles means they are now third. Of course it was Tafty who provided the BOP Princess, Kim-Lian for us. In his own vote the 12 goes to a 2007 album track from Aussie pop twins The Veronicas, who are off the mark in style. Hayley Kiyoko & Kehlani get their first silver medal while there are climbs on the board for various other pop entries. And The Presets remain on top while scoring zero again.

No song was voted for by all of the first four voters, so there is no full house coming, while seven songs are still without points.

Late to the party, but it seems to me that each person has chosen different songs, which makes the reveals to be more interesting.

I've always loved 'Rock N Roll' so nothing came close to that for me, but all the rest were new discoveries. A*Teens was a pretty great one and Lucky Twice was quite an earworm. I didn't want to like The Cheeky Girls song cos it's a bit ridiculous but it's insanely catchy, especially with that sample!

There were a couple of songs which I wasn't quite sure how they fit the criteria, they were certainly very borderline! But a great set of songs on the whole, looking forward to the results

Mangø is hopeful of a top half result tonight but is currently stranded with five other songs on zero with Canadian duo Chromeo’s funky entry. Mangø’s 12 pointer is an old favourite from Remi Nicole, who jumps into the top ten, while big scores for Lucky Twice and A*Teens means we have a shake-up at the top, with Lucky up to first and Floorfiller in second!
