Each week (aiming for Sunday evenings) I'll post one of these polls and ask you all to select your favourites from the week's new entries in the UK Singles Chart top 100. Unlike the similar polls in the genre forums, this poll is multiple choice - I'll leave it to your discretion how you want to give votes, if you want to just vote for your favourite each week then go for it, if not you can vote for as many songs as you feel deserve a vote (I will encourage people to make sure they've actually listened to all of the songs before voting but I can't enforce that obviously x). There's also a 'none of the above' option if you want to put in a protest vote. And then feel free to post in the thread any rankings/ratings or general thoughts. The song with the most votes at the end of the week will be the winner.

Week 7 saw us return to landslide victories with American rising star sombr breaking Harry Styles' record for the most votes for a song in one of these polls to date - 'Homewrecker', presumably the lead single for a yet-to-be-announced second album, eased to the top of the pile with 31 votes, one more than Styles' 'Aperture' achieved 2 weeks earlier. 14 votes behind in second place were Calvin Harris and Kasabian, while the two ex-1D tracks both also got double figure votes. Once again in a field where all but one song had only male credited artists, it's the one with a credited female artist that actually finishes last in the poll (courtesy of Tems' contribution to the least popular J. Cole track, which is another one saved from a 0 vote result by just one fan).

Full week 7 results:

1 31/43 sombr - Homewrecker (#14)

2 17/43 Calvin Harris and Kasabian - Release The Pressure (#37)

3 15/43 ZAYN - Die For Me (#91)

4 13/43 Myles Smith and Niall Horan - Drive Safe (#27)

5 6/43 EsDeeKid - Omens (#75)

6 4/43 J. Cole - Two Six (#45)

6 4/43 EsDeeKid, fakemink and Rico Ace - LV Sandals (#99)

8 2/43 J. Cole - SAFETY (#51)

9 1/43 J. Cole, Future and Tems - Bunce Road Blues (#59)

[1/43 none of the above]

This week's contenders:

Bad Bunny - Tití Me Preguntó (#18)

Charli xcx - Dying For You (#27)

Charli xcx - Always Everywhere (#33)

Central Cee - ICEMAN FREESTYLE (#37)

Luke Combs - Be By You (#47)

Fred again.. and Jamie T - Lights Burn Dimmer (#49)

Central Cee - SLAUGHTER (feat. J Hus) (#54)

Ewan McVicar - Share The House (#79)

Brent Faiyaz - other side. (#95)

Brent Faiyaz - wrong faces. (#96)

10 songs to pick from this week, and it's quite a strong batch if I say so myself (although I realise most people here are not as in the market for songs by Central Cee and Brent Faiyaz as me, though the third artist with 2 songs on offer may be a bit more popular (I do think 'other side.' might be quite popular on here if people give it a chance, maybe not so much the others xx)).

Hall of Fame:

Week 1: Zara Larsson - Midnight Sun [29/49]

Week 2: Fleetwood Mac - Landslide [27/48]

Week 3: Bruno Mars - I Just Might [26/44]

Week 4: Jeff Buckley - Lover, You Should've Come Over [23/43]

Week 5: Harry Styles - Aperture [30/46]

Week 6: Noah Kahan - The Great Divide [21/44]

Week 7: sombr - Homewrecker [31/43]

Gone with Bad Bunny, Fred Again, Ewan McVicar and both Brent Faiyaz songs. Wish Brent had a bigger UK impact, Other Side is really great!

  • I voted for... Bad Bunny - Tití Me Preguntó Charli xcx - Dying For You Charli xcx - Always Everywhere Fred again.. and Jamie T - Lights Burn Dimmer the Brent songs were pretty good too. strong w

Just 'LightsBurnDimmer' for me this week as that's a bit of a banger (and I'm not usually even that big a fan of Fred again..!)

Charli's Wuthering Heights songs just aren't doing it for me sadly.

Actually, that Luke Combs song is alright too, so maybe I'll go back and add that to my votes.

  • Bad Bunny - Tití Me Preguntó (#18) - a bit annoying this one

  • Charli xcx - Dying For You (#27) - dull and boring

  • Charli xcx - Always Everywhere (#33) - she's really not one for ballads

  • Central Cee - ICEMAN FREESTYLE (#37) - cute Nokia sample aside it's nothing to write home about

  • Luke Combs - Be By You (#47) - strong contender already for worst song of 2026, couldn't even make it half way through

  • Fred again.. and Jamie T - Lights Burn Dimmer (#49) - Fred rarely ever misses and this is another top effort, great to see Jamie T back in the chart again too

  • Central Cee - SLAUGHTER (feat. J Hus) (#54) - zzzzz

  • Ewan McVicar - Share The House (#79) - wow what hideous vocals YEEEEWWW... very uninspired house otherwise anyway

  • Brent Faiyaz - other side. (#95) - nice vibe to this, very Miguel

  • Brent Faiyaz - wrong faces. (#96) - bit on the duller side this one however

Voted Fred/Jamie & Brent.

Its like an inferior +1 by Martin Solveig from 10 years ago!

Voted for Fred Again and Jamie T, a decent synth indie track. Pity Fred is one of the few dance artists that can reliably chart in the UK these days.

benito, both charli and fred

Voted 'Always Everywhere' and 'Lights Burn Dimmer' (which has crept up on me over a few listens). 'Tití Me Preguntó' is fun but don't know if I'd revisit it much.

  1. Charli xcx - Dying for you

  2. Brent Faiyaz - other side.

  3. Central Cee - SLAUGHTER (feat. J Hus)

  4. Fred again.. & Jamie T - Lights Burn Dimmer

  5. Luke Combs - Be By You

  6. Charli xcx - Always Everywhere

  7. Brent Faiyaz - wrong faces.

  8. Ewan McVicar - Share The House

  9. Bad Bunny - Tití Me Preguntó

  10. Central Cee - ICEMAN FREESTYLE

'Dying for You' is my clear favourite this week but I'll be nice and give 'other side.' a vote too.

J Hus elevates the Central Cee track so much compared to the other tedious one.

It's nice to hear Jamie T again and the Luke Combs one sounded nicer than I was expecting.

Huge fan of Dying for You!

Also voted Bad Bunny, Charli’s Always Everywhere, and Fred Again/Jamie T.

Voted for both Charli songs, Ewan McVicar (much better than his previous hit) and Brent Faiyaz - other side. (surprisingly great x)

I voted for...

  • Bad Bunny - Tití Me Preguntó

  • Charli xcx - Dying For You

  • Charli xcx - Always Everywhere

  • Fred again.. and Jamie T - Lights Burn Dimmer

the Brent songs were pretty good too.

strong week 🤩

Random observation: 'Tití Me Preguntó' contains the lyric "vamo' a tirarno' un selfie, say "cheese" while 'SLAUGHTER' has "put on the flash, make a man say, "cheese" 🧀
