The Weeknd - Can’t Feel My Face vs. ABBA - Lay All Your Love on Me

Lily Allen - f*** You vs. HAIM - Now I’m In It

The Weeknd probably pulled the shortest straw there: literally one of his absolute best songs up against that. At first when I saw The Corrs' choice I thought "hmmm sending a remix at THIS stage?' but then I heard it and realised what it was. That's another battle actually that I'm really struggling with ahhh.

It feels like Behind These Hazel Eyes is probably a little more popular on here so I think using that as the final song would be a smart move!

However, as much as I would love a Kelly win, I’m not sure I can see past an ABBA win…

Florence - Twigs is tough for me too: both euphoric tracks.

I’ve noticed there are no boy vs girl battles - perhaps by design haha.

Definitely depends on song choices going forwards, both have plenty of great songs. Underneath The Tree is another very widely loved song from Kelly, but would certainly be a brave choice to send that in spring.

Agreed that ABBA have at least 15 Gold bangers and beauties left so more than enough to carve a path to victory (but who knows what themes could come up to trip people up...remix round!!!?)

This is all assuming they get past Kesha and The Weeknd of course!

The fact nobody is talking about battles such as Conan vs. Scissors is concerning as it makes it seem less like a battle and more of a full gone conclusion! Same goes for Troye vs. Nik. Is it even close in these battles? 👀

People may have their clear preferences in some battles but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the same preference.

I find it fascinating and a little iconic that Nik Kershaw could become the last remaining Solo Male come Monday. (that's not Troye shade btw, great track!)

I suspect that's just because many people won't know the Troye/Conan songs so will need to check them before making a judgement call. It seems like most of the big talked about rounds are two established classics against one another.

I think both of those could end up being close actually.

I like ABBA but I'm not mad on them, I'd be a bit disappointed if they won tbh

I'm here for an ABBA victory as long as their final move is 'The Winner Takes It All'

Lowkey most of these duels are actually very easy choices for me (at least the ones involving songs I already know) - and not always in the direction that I'd have expected if you just told me which artists were duelling 👀

Nelly vs. Blondie is probably the toughest call for me.
