I'm certainly noticing patterns that where somebody has predicted a song to do very badly against the tide (or much worse than others have), it then wasn't in their votes. Which does show how personal taste affects predictions. This works the other way round too, when a song gets one big prediction out of the blue, you'll often find it in that predictor's vote in the end.
