Wednesday at 16:431 day Number 1 WW spottily with a big number... I wonder how much can it grow more.
Wednesday at 16:491 day Wikipedia lists one of the song's genres as "recession pop". I have to say, I've NEVER heard that one before

Wednesday at 17:251 day Nicki minaj finally getting her second number 1 with a song actually released before her first was not something I would of had on my 2026 bingo card 😮

Wednesday at 17:421 day 46 minutes ago, Jessie Where said:Wikipedia lists one of the song's genres as "recession pop". I have to say, I've NEVER heard that one before Oh that’s basically one uptempo dance pop from 2008-2013, usually with an emphasis on “tonight” and “partying”. Think most of early work from Kesha, Pitbull, LMFAO, Jason Derulo, David Guetta. And individual songs like Dynamite by Taio Cruz, Just Dance by Gaga, I Gotta Feeling etc.Never associated the genre with Beauty and The Bieb before but yeah does make sense, Zedd’s drop, the production, the lyrics. All stereotypical recession pop.
Wednesday at 17:421 day Just now, Jessie Where said:Is there a newer equivalent called "lockdown pop" or "pandemic pop" in that case?Actually yeah, but it’s called “bedroom pop”.

Wednesday at 17:511 day I'd be surprised to see Beauty and a Beat in the conversation for #1, I think its momentum will run out sooner rather than later, but I'd love to be proved wrong. Honestly I'm rooting for a top 10 peak and that'll more than satisfy me, who'd have called this happening a week ago?
Wednesday at 17:541 day Yeah theres just too much going on next week, with Olivia, potential Madonna release, Alex's physicals and I wouldnt completely rule out Taylors "limited" record store release as well
Wednesday at 17:561 day I’d ordinarily be happy cos it’s one of his best songs and I used to looove hearing it on nights out but I haven’t listened to Minaj since all of her transphobic remarks so I can’t say I’m as overjoyed as I otherwise would’ve been by this resurgence.
