Each week (or two) ((aiming for Sunday evenings)) I'll post one of these polls and ask you all to select your favourites from the week's new entries in the UK Singles Chart top 100. Unlike the similar polls in the genre forums, this poll is multiple choice - I'll leave it to your discretion how you want to give votes, if you want to just vote for your favourite each week then go for it, if not you can vote for as many songs as you feel deserve a vote (I will encourage people to make sure they've actually listened to all of the songs before voting but I can't enforce that obviously x). There's also a 'none of the above' option if you want to put in a protest vote. And then feel free to post in the thread any rankings/ratings or general thoughts. The song with the most votes at the end of the week will be the winner.

I promise this isn't permanently switching to being once every 2 weeks, I am just unreliable. Let me try my best to get a single poll up again next week (having the weekly 80s top 40 hits listenthrough back might help me to restore some Sunday routine again). Anyhoo, it was the same artist topping both of the last pair of polls - British singer RAYE follows on from Harry Styles in notching up two poll wins this year, topping week 13 with 'Click Clack Symphony.', the third single from her second studio album 'THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.' (with some help from featured German composer icon Hans Zimmer) and also coming out on top of week 14 with 'I Know You're Hurting.', an album track / the focus track from the same album. Both won relatively comfortably, with the former's closest competition from FLO coming in 6 votes behind while the latter was 8 votes clear of second placed Prospa. Worth noting 'Leak It' did actually get more votes than 'I Know You're Hurting.' so it was a little unlucky to miss out on a win, 22 must be one of the highest vote totals for a non-winner so far this year. I'd ordinarily be very happy with Luke Combs coming last in one of these polls but I do think 'Rethink Some Things' is one of his better charting songs to date - mind, still didn't get a vote from me. I've not posted my rankings of the last three polls, I should catch up with that. x

Week 15's contenders:

James Hype - Be Mine (#75)

Ella Langley - Be Her (#90)

STELLA LEFTY - Boston (#91)

BTS - 2.0 (#94)

LONOWN and riserayss - worry (#97)

DaBaby - POP DAT THANG (#98)

Week 16's contenders:

KATSEYE - PINKY UP (#14)

Lady Gaga and Doechii - RUNWAY (#32)

Teddy Swims - Mr. Know It All (#54)

Myles Smith - My Mess (#58)

Ella Langley - Bottom Of Your Boots (#77)

F3miii - NOBLE (#81)

Chris Brown - Obvious (#87)

Cameron Whitcomb - Kingdom Of Fear (#93)

There were no brand new releases entering the chart for week 15 but a decent crop of 6 slightly older tracks managed to break through (or break out of being starred out as was the case again for BTS), almost all in the 90s. Week 16 had a few more instantly notable new releases but came out with only a slightly longer list of 8 new entries. Commonalities across both lists this week are a K-Pop song each, an Ella Langley song each, another country/country-adjacent song by a first time chart act each and a #problematic artist each. Plus both contain a presumably TikTok driven newbie by an obscure artist each, although I have heard of LONOWN before at least. F3miii is new to me but maybe I'm just not paying attention. The LONOWN track is another one where the most popular version on Spotify is a slowed version (in fact the regular version is only the third most streamed behind its slowed and ultra slowed counterparts) but I'm just putting the original on the playlist anyway.

Not sure that there's an obvious winner for either of these weeks... I mean it'll probably be Gaga in the second one I guess but I don't think this song has gone down that well on here by her usual standards? x Definitely anticipating a fair bit of action for the 'none of the above' options in any case.

(once again, contains all songs from both weeks)

Week 15: voted for LONOWN - not sure if I'd heard this one before, but I really like some of their collabs with akiaura, and this holds up well against them. Week 16: genuinely 'PINKY UP' turned out t

Voted for Be Mine and Pop That Thang, the latter only because I like the production (the Miami Bass genre). Unfortunately the genre tends to be very explicit lyrically.

But yeah Be Mine is very good easily the best entry with some good buildups.

None of the above the first week.

KATSEYE and Teddy Swims the second week - Teddy's new single is surprisingly good!

james and ella week 1, katz/gagachii/teddy/ella week 2

Lonown for week 1, Gaga and F3miii for week 2. I also sort of liked the Teddy Swims and Chris Brown songs in week 2 but I'm not inclined to vote for them at all

Week 15: voted for LONOWN - not sure if I'd heard this one before, but I really like some of their collabs with akiaura, and this holds up well against them.

Week 16: genuinely 'PINKY UP' turned out to be my favourite of these - I still wasn't going to give it a vote, but "us against the world, shaking ass in the parking lot" changed my mind lol

sees katseye comfortably leading full damn well knowing outsiders will be seething cheer

LONOWN is my favourite track over the 2 weeks.

I don’t like voting for NOTA so I’ve gone for “Pinky Up” which is in so bad it’s good territory.

Week 15: Lonown [this is the only one across the 2 weeks that's made my playlist]

Week 16: Lady Gaga [this is very weak for her but still easily the best of this lot]

Week15

  • James Hype - Be Mine (#75) - very short but very sweet, packs a punch!

  • Ella Langley - Be Her (#90) - bland and repetitive, don't see this one growing like choosin' texas eventually did

  • STELLA LEFTY - Boston (#91) - so this is what we can hold the aforementioned choosin' texas accountable for, an impending influx of low quality, shite, hollow country gash

  • BTS - 2.0 (#94) - this one is hideously bad, worst off the album that i've heard

  • LONOWN and riserayss - worry (#97) - this sounds very AI-leaning for apparently non-AI acts, but it's a very nice vibe so gets a vote

  • DaBaby - POP DAT THANG (#98) - here's an artist i thought we'd NEVER see in the UK 100 ever again, the song's a bit basic but undeniably catchy

Voted James, LONOWN & DB.

Week 16

  • KATSEYE - PINKY UP (#14) - elite-tier dancepop banger, one of the best NEs of 2026 so far

  • Lady Gaga and Doechii - RUNWAY (#32) - this is... not my thing at all

  • Teddy Swims - Mr. Know It All (#54) - this one falls short of his 3 big hits

  • Myles Smith - My Mess (#58) - THIS IS A MYLES SMITH SONG

  • Ella Langley - Bottom Of Your Boots (#77) - this is better than the first one but still doesn't leave much of an impression

  • F3miii - NOBLE (#81) - this sounds like a flo rida tribute act rapping over a frank ocean song, and it doesn't work at all

  • Chris Brown - Obvious (#87) - whereas this an artist that ALWAYS keeps getting top 100s, annoyingly i quite like it (and who doesn't love a "scooby dooby doo" shoutout)

  • Cameron Whitcomb - Kingdom Of Fear (#93) - was expecting to hate this after the first 5 seconds but i ended up rather enjoying it, it's very carry you home aka Lord Warren's greatest song by far

Voted KE, Chris & Cameron.

The James Hype song is a good progressive house track, I originally wasn't keen on the flat bassline house trend like Chrystal The Days NOTION remix and No Broke Boys but the buildups in Be Mine fluctuate enough in melody to be good.

I hate the lyrics of the DaBaby track (it is from the usually explicit Miami Bass genre) but the production and rap flow are very good! More faster house-leaning hip hop songs like this please!

The verses of the Katseye song are very good but I don't like the chorus. I like the ending though.

I wish Chris Brown would return to his club banger era.

'Runway' I dont mind - at least its house, some of the vocals remind me of Lizzo.

voted for...

week 15

LONOWN and riserayss - worry (#97)

like Jim, I've been a fan of a few akiaura / LONOWN collabs in the past (especially 'Deathwish') so an incredible sight to see the latter in the top 100!

week 16

F3miii - NOBLE (#81)

what a poor week, I don't like null voting so narrowly went for F3miii as the production was pretty cool

Ella Langley / STELLA LEFTY

KATSEYE / Lady Gaga & Doechii / Ella Langley / Cameron Whitcomb

Kingdom of Fear is my favourite of these tracks, a great discovery!
