Poor Becky Hill… no impact on either Apple or Spotify.

Although the release has been a mess

Her releases have been a mess since the ‘Believe Me Now’ era - I think it’s time for her to move on from Polydor.

The hatred is for RMI is definitely confined to Buzzjack - looking at the OCC insta post announcing it’s back at #1 and all the comments are positive.

It’s totally struck a chord with the GP so would expect at least a few more weeks at the top and then an ever present in the Top 20 tbh.

Absolutely agree if you say anything positive about RMI your classed as trolling

This - and those complaining about RMI are celebrating songs being in the charts just as long, or the return of decade old songs by Michael Jackson, Madonna, Sean Paul, Zara Larsson etc.,

Hmmm I don’t think anyone was saying you was trolling for that soul reason

I mean, you said something positive about the song and that certainly isn't what I'd classify as trolling. There's a clear difference.

They’re all tired and need to leave the charts. Let’s be honest. The charts are in a dire place at the moment, and don’t look set to be changing

There's a difference, though - Rein Me In has continually been in the chart for almost a year, other old songs making a comeback is quite fun for a chart novelty. Some outstay their welcome and then face the same critiques Rein Me In is now facing (Unwritten was definitely boring people by the end of its revival top 40 run).

At the end of the day, Buzzjack's opinion has no bearing on anything, just ask Teddy Swims lol

I don’t disagree - but RMI is one of the fresher songs in the charts 😂

I’d hate to be a new artist battling against songs that have been in the charts for 52+ weeks, oldies by Michael Jackson, Sean Paul, Fleetwood Mac, Zara Larsson etc., along with the 3 track/artist rule.

anyway - back on topic suprised that Madonna/Sabrina are not higher - it’s still an epic result for Madonna but expected more curiosity streams and a bigger boost from being #1 on some big playlists.

Surprised Madonna is doing better on Spotify than Apple, I remember Padam peaked in the top 10 on Apple but #21 or something around there on Spotify

Madonna has some big playlists on Spotify so guessing it benefitted from that?

#1 NMF

#1 All New All Now

#2 Pop Rising

#3 All New Pop

#4 New Pop Dance

PP got shunned by Spotify.

Oh yeah that makes sense! Hopefully Hot Hits will add it soon too

I love how this is so remembered 14 years on lol

Coincidentally, "What Now" was certified Gold this week!

Up to #29 on Apple so should overtake its Spotify position shortly.

There are only two other songs in the current top 40 that have spent more weeks there ('Ordinary' and, just barely, 'Lush Life') and eight others that were released before it ('Beauty And A Beat', 'Babydoll', 'Billie Jean', 'Just The Way You Are', 'Beat It', 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough', 'Earrings' and '(When You Gonna) Give It Up To Me') so no, it really isn't even by the absolute most charitable definition of 'fresher'.

Need to follow ARIA's example and do a replay chart to sort out the problem

Nope, The ARIA Chart is 10 times more stale than OCC, it's actually worse since the changes

Thats due to their lack of rules on their main chart, but if the OCC did it, it would clean our chart up a little
