  • its a week late but she keeps her record of dropping out the top 5 from #1

  • If a man was singing Choosin Texas no one would care, just more forgettable country rubbish with cliche lyrics, how it ever took off outside the States is beyond me

Yikes at just 2 new entries and one of them is AI slop...

I searched the Puerto Rico song on Google, and I knew it was AI by the AI cover "art".

Man I Need number 1 on audio streaming so without ACR it's likely number one 😮

New peaks and new entries outside the top 40:

#43 Ella Langley - Be Her (+19)

Hope this can go Top 40 next week!

It’s not AI though?

Rein Me In also increased it's streaming numbers this week so remains on zero weeks of decline.

I've never heard of this song until just now but Googling it for 5 seconds immediately brings up an article saying he openly admits it was made with AI.

What was the first song? Blinding Lights?

It was. Its last top 40 week on its first top 40 run was its 52nd week inside the top 40.

Edit: ignore the above - 'Blinding Lights' spent one week outside the top 40 on its 4th chart week!

'Bad Habits' by Ed Sheeran managed 52 consecutive weeks inside the top 40 in 2021/2022.

So long as they keep skipping playing ordinary there won't be a problem

As predicted, a very dull week, but at least there are new peaks for lots of tracks who had been hovering: Choosin' Texas, Talk To You, Boston, Earrings, Material Lover...

But as much as Iove both Sam Fender and Olivia Dean, I just can't stand Rein Me In at #1 anymore. I bet it will still be top 20 in November.
