Earrings still climbing even with the Wonderwall jump 😲 looking like an O Rod number 2 again on the singles, hope the new entries hold.

Sure, that's fine, I don't have a horse in that race, but you're positing Sam Fender and/or his team complaining to the OCC to prevent it from happening. Seems like an attack on character based on spe

So madge isn’t going to manage 50k but should just about clear 45k which is still decent growth from Madame X and Rebel Heart!

Hoping Danceteria can cling on to top 40!

I think a lot of people are forgetting most of her sales are frontloaded because they are physicals

Its still a phenomenal achievement if she "only scrapes 45k"

Whaaaat? Robin Hood!? I admit I haven’t seen it in years but pretty sure I enjoyed it back when, Alan Rickman was so evil in it!

Anything with Alan Rickman was top notch!

it supposed that Danceteria is coming out as single this Friday ...maybe a full video is gonna help it

This information isn't entirely true to be honest. "Danceteria" is already a single in the UK because it was playlisted on BBC Radio 2 upon its release. However, that information (re: the song is coming out as a single this Friday) is from Italy, so this means that the promotion across Europe will start this Friday.

Fantastic update for Sienna.

I thought Madonna would have sold loads more with the two £3.99 downloads genuinely was thinking the downloads would of jumped to 6/7k

Gonna say 'Danceteria' will probably be #36 on Friday now. I'll still take it as long as it's top 40.

I thought it was guaranteed to chart higher than BYL with how it started out.

I love songs like Common People (one of my all time faves), Bittersweet Symphony, Tender, Children etc...

But in my head they are #2 singles forever. (Same as Paranoid Android, Hey Boy Hey Girl etc are #3s)

I don't want them to have a random chart run 30 years later that bumps their chart history up to being #1. Unless they truly have a cultural phenomenon moment ala Running Up That Hill, which makes their second coming as relevant as the first time round. It just wouldn't feel very authentic to me.

Madonna fans are surprisingly bad at downloading. I blame the young fans for bullying the older generation into streaming only!

I guess Danceteria has dropped harder on Spotify than BYL did as it has done pretty well on AM.

Didn’t they both disappear from the top 200 after day 1? I expected it to freefall more than it has tbh

Those other top 40 weeks after that first run came in December 2013/January 2014 (maybe the tail end of the 'iTunes gift card effect' era there) and randomly the first week of January 2024, by which time it was a pretty permanent fixture in the lower end of the top 75 but not sure what made it get to as high as #31 as recently as two and a half years ago - just the effect of all the Christmas songs leaving the chart?

Think it came down to its use in Saltburn in 2024.

Wait madonna fans are too old to download but know how to stream 😅

Hoping Danceteria stays top 40!! iTunes push could be needed but I can’t think of 8 songs what could push ahead today and tomorrow?!

Still incredible to see her #1 on albums midweeks and be within realm of getting another top 40 this era.

Will beat Norway but won't get past Argentina.

I’d argue Norway are a lot better side than Argentina but England could beat them both!

These streaming sales for Confessions II are, definitely, a win. Let's see if Madonna could pass the 6k at this rate, but I guess 5k is a lock as of now.

Surely already the highest streaming sales for an 80s artist? i think Kylie’s highest was 3.9k for Tension.

Ah that makes sense, thanks! And having a quick scroll back through Buzzjack's past, the 2013 re-emergence was because of The X Factor final that year where they were guest performers - I forgot how big the show still was back then.

Yeah it’s pretty incredible, there’s a good chance she’d have been top 10 with streaming numbers alone
