She’s on some pretty huge playlists and had massive World Cup exposure (20 million watched across BBC and ITV) and is the #5 current most streamed artist on global Spotify, so if it can’t knock off a year old, 17 week #1 track then… (I love it btw just saying).

I mean if this boost came on Friday then it's entirely possible it could have put up more of a fight for the official #1, given it's also #1 on iTunes and has been #1 on video streaming the last 2 weeks, but I think it'd need to be further ahead to make up the deficit from the midweeks.

The video is getting a big boost and it will have a bigger lead in those streams this week. Although likely not enough to challenge for #1. A shame "Rein Me In" hasn't hit ACR yet after so long...if it costs Shakira a number #1

Rein Me In is number 1 because of streaming playlists. If you press play on a playlist that Rein Me In is on, that’s the first song it’ll play. Why stream Rein Me In when you can just put the radio on and it gets played on the radio
