  • The Buzzjack legend that is Joe Bonamassa.

  • I believe Daniel O'Donnell charted a new album every year from 1988 to 2023.

cheeseblock the most prolific band I can think of

I believe Daniel O'Donnell charted a new album every year from 1988 to 2023.

Rarely a year goes by without a new Osees album dropping (around about 30 over the last 23 years)

Death's Dynamic Shroud also put out new music every month as part of their Bandcamp subscription service (occasionally one of those projects will get a wider streaming release), so I guess it doesn't get much more consistent than that

Tori Amos has been pretty consistent with putting out new albums, and we love to see it ❤️

1992: Little Earthquakes

1994: Under The Pink

1996: Boys For Pele

1998: From The Choirgirl Hotel

1999: To Venus and Back

2001: Strange Little Girls (covers album)

2002: Scarlet's Walk

2005: The Beekeeper

2007: American Doll Posse

2009: Abnormally Attracted To Sin

2009: Midwinter Graces (Christmas album)

2011: Night of Hunters

2012: Gold Dust (re-workings of previously released songs)

2014: Unrepentant Geraldines

2017: Native Invader

2021: Ocean To Ocean

2025: The Music of Tori and the Muses (accompanying album for her children's book)

2026: In Times of Dragons

Impressive stuff! She has such an interesting discography too, I deeply appreciate her work ❤️

Just remembered that Lana Del Rey is another artist who generally releases every 2 years:

Born to Die (2012)

Ultraviolence (2014)

Honeymoon (2015)

Lust for Life (2017)

Norman f***ing Rockwell! (2019)

Chemtrails over the Country Club (2021)

Blue Banisters (2021)

Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd (2023)

taking a bit longer with Stove although supposedly two new albums are on the way

Taylor Swift had a pretty consistent streak of every 2 years

2006: Taylor Swift

2008: fearless

2010: speak now

2012: red

2014: 1989

There was an album planned for 2016 but it got scrapped over all the Kim/kanye drama and instead we got reputation in 2017, lover in 2019. Then again Covid interfered with folklore & evermore coming out of the pandemic

2020s have been pretty consistent too with 2 re-records and a new album inbeteeen

2021: fearless and red tv

2022: midnights

2023: speak now and 1989 tv

2024: TTPD

We’ll see what comes next after TLOAS last year! Hopefully a quality improvement though the last album was awful lol

I have a few more, darlings

Joni Mitchell (no longer releasing albums but she had a very prolific career with such an interesting and beautiful discography ❤️):

1968: Song To A Seagull

1969: Clouds

1970: Ladies of the Canyon

1971: Blue

1972: For The Roses

1974: Court and Spark

1975: The Hissing of Summer Lawns

1976: Hejira

1977: Don Juan's Reckless Daughter

1979: Mingus

1982: Wild Things Run Fast

1985: Dog Eat Dog

1988: Chalk Mark in a Rain Storm

1991: Night Ride Home

1994: Turbulent Indigo

1998: Taming the Tiger

2000: Both Sides Now (orchestral renditions of mostly covers; includes two of her own songs)

2002: Travelogue (re-workings of previously released songs)

2007: Shine

Joni has such a large body of work that while I have listened to every album at least once, there are quite a number of them that sadly haven't gotten as many plays from me as I would like, making it difficult to distinguish each one.

Moby:

1992: Moby

1993: Ambient

1995: Everything Is Wrong

1996: Animal Rights

1999: Play

2002: 18

2005: Hotel

2008: Last Night

2009: Wait For Me

2011: Destroyed

2013: Innocents

2016: Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep.

2016: These Systems Are Failing (as Moby & The Void Pacific Choir)

2017: More Fast Songs About The Apocalypse (as Moby & The Void Pacific Choir)

2018: Everything Was Beautiful, and Nothing Hurt

2019: Long Ambients 2

2020: All Visible Objects

2021: Live Ambients - Improvised Recordings Vol. 1

2021: Reprise (re-workings of previously released songs)

2023: Ambient 23

2023: Resound NYC (re-workings of previously released songs)

2024: Always Centered At Night

2026: Future Quiet

Again, so many albums, and in this case I have listened to most of them but not all - I haven't given a spin of some of the ambient albums and albums of re-workings.

James Blake has also been quite consistent:

2011: James Blake

2013: Overgrown

2016: The Colour in Anything

2019: Assume Form

2021: Friends That Break Your Heart

2023: Playing Robots Into Heaven

2026: Trying Times

Alec Benjamin's released an album every 2 years so far, hoping he doesn't break that pattern this year...!!

2020 These Two Windows

2022 (Un)Commentary

2024 12 Notes

Tyler, The Creator was so consistent with album releases for a long time that he ended up calling out his fans for assuming he was going to drop an album in 2023 and being disappointed lol (he then dropped in back-to-back years in 2024/2025 though so maybe he'll be back on the 2 year schedule with another album in 2027...)
