Hoping Hugel's Jamaican can hold on, would be nice if he had a top 40 with no AI ties. Surprised Tame Impala's Loser isn't here yet!

Choosin’ Texas coming for the Number One in 3 or 4 weeks time! Actually, it will probably go to ACR the same week as Rein Me In

ne 03 Ariana Grande - petal (18,524)

down 04 Ella Langley - Choosin' Texas (16,430)

down 19 Ariana Grande - hate that i made you love me

It’s looking like it will be close for positions 3, 4 and 5 between these three tracks, with Olivia Rodrigo at 6. I was surprised how low down ‘hate timylm’ was today - though just about above Ordinary - so almost certainly top 6 when it gets reset.

On an irrelevant note - I still can’t believe ‘Man I Need’ has spent 42 weeks inside the top 3 of the Audio Streaming Chart (and 34 in the top 2).

It would be poetic that the longest running female US number 1 (minus AIWFCIY) dethroned the longest running UK number 1

Would love Choosin Texas to go to #1 - hopefully the label will do something so that it can try and avoid ACR.

And I’d love for Be Her to go top 40

Would be a massive shame if Choosin Texas didn't go to No1! It's huge and almost perfection.

Its already number 1 in America for months now, don't see why we need it here too

So a song can only go to #1 in one country? huh

When its a long running single just to see it hop to another country and become another long running single there it just feels like an infection to the charts. To get rid of rmi and be replaced with texas for weeks no thanks

So when a fave of yours releases you’re happy for them to go to #1 in Spain and flop in the UK?

I'd be gobsmacked if Choosin' Texas became a long-running #1 here, we'd have to have an even drier period than we're in given it doesn't seem to be making major progress upwards. If it did get there, it'd be because Rein Me In and Dai Dai go to ACR and it's stayed ahead of the rest, but for a long-running #1 to happen on sub-30k sales would require an extreme dry period.

It's surprised me by making steady progress for so long, so you never know, but last week it was only a couple of thousand sales above where it was when it first entered the top 10 at #9.
