I'm really sad that it's a week too late for RMI to go on ACR because it looks like this would have been the last week for Ella to steal the number 1 next week 😭 Gutted.

I was kind of hoping that her label would do something/anything to try and make it happen!

I really wish that they would tbh, however, there is 3 songs in contention next week (maybe even 4) so I think they will be having quite a bit of competition. So basically, whichever label is the most proactive at generating attention, will determine our number 1 next week.

I would assume it be Sienna's team considering she's the only one in contention who's actually from the UK

I think the fact she is breaking all sorts of longevity records in her core market on the US Billboard Hot 100 (just earned her 19th week at the top), that I don't think her label is overly focused on foreign markets. Its performing very well in UK and reaching new peaks with zero promotion so that's good enough for them perhaps ..

For what it's worth I've just given Sam's album a listen and it's actually better than I thought it was going to be based on the singles. There are definitely a few decent songs on it. So it's a bit of a shame if it ends up doing really badly.

It’s honestly their best album since thrill, also the title track is single material.

Based on music video?? That’s ridiculous

The album is literally in the same vain as their second album.

Westside Cowboy 🙌🙌🙌

Not been this happy to see an album top 3 in the midweeks since Royston Club!

Best new band of the year for me (not that it's a crowded field these days 😥)

Yes, the best debut album of the year. Fantastic live too, if you get the chance to see them.

Absolutely loving Stella Lefty’s album - it’s massively underperforming on week 1 it seems despite the success of Boston.

It’s a really modern country/pop album and there feels like there are at least a few tracks that could be hits so hopefully the album will have some legs in the future.

One hit single, especially one that's a viral hit, doesn't guarantee a hit album though, as I mentioned earlier in the thread - there's many more examples of those who didn't manage a successful album off a viral hit than examples of those who did.

The physicals aren't available widely yet either - HMV and Amazon don't have them for sale, they're only on the Warner Music Store, which can't exactly be helping.

I guess that was my point - the album to me very much sounds like it could yield some other hit singles so hopefully the album will build and take off in the future.

You just know Rein Me In (Sleigh Me In Remix) is coming in just over three months.

Yours to own forever on red and green 7" vinyl for just £19.99!

All my memories of you ring like Christmas.

Tbf they are probably the closest we have to a modern day Shane and kirsty maybe they could cover Fairytales of New York instead

But can they do it as well as Ronan Keating and various collaborators?

Might start seeing songs starting to enter for Dolly Parton on Friday after the sad news this evening... 😢
