Glad this has been such a hit for Ariana, great great song. Shame the rest of the album was fairly weak in comparison

Biography

Armed with a mesmerizing, nimble soprano—and a vocal register often likened to those of Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera—Ariana Grande began her career as a child star on Broadway and Nickelodeon before transforming into a pop and R&B powerhouse. Born in Florida in 1993, Grande has crafted one of pop’s most distinctive personas, equal parts playful, vulnerable, and brazenly confident. And over the course of several albums and scores of hit singles—from 2013’s R&B crooner “The Way” (featuring Mac Miller) and continuing through to an EDM collab with Zedd (“Break Free”), slinky retro-soul (“Dangerous Woman”), and diva trap-pop (“7 rings”)—she’s solidified herself as one of her generation’s most dynamic superstars. An LGBTQ+ advocate and outspoken feminist, she has long used her platform to confront misogyny, sexism, homophobia, and bullying, spreading a message of love over all. Her Max Martin-produced smash “no tears left to cry,” an escapist dance-floor triumph released a year after a deadly terrorist attack at one of her concerts in 2017, and its subsequent album, Sweetener, sent a message of hope and healing. Grande’s pop vision since, though, has focused inward. After the devastating loss of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller in 2018, she re-emerged with 2019’s therapeutic thank u, next, its title track sending off ex-lovers with a gentle kiss on the cheek. The following year’s pandemic-written Positions highlighted Grande’s vocals and her desire to be content in love, while on her lush, autofictional 2024 album, eternal sunshine, she glided with a coy smile and a heavenly whistle through the emotions of a woman betrayed, perceived, and adored. Following her blockbuster return to the screen in 2024’s Wicked, which earned her an Oscar nomination, she returned with her 2026 album petal. And with each chapter, Grande proves that her greatest strength has always been her instinct for reinvention. - Apple Music

Weird run. Going ACR at the first opportunity twice having been saved previously by the album release. Yet becomes her longest running track in the top 10.

Biography

Slovakian singer ADÉLA mixes electronic pop with alternative influences, relying on striking beats, synthesizers, and a darker, more provocative atmosphere. Self-taught in English since childhood and a fan of pop divas like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Madonna, ADÉLA turned early setbacks into momentum. Eliminated from the reality show Dream Academy in 2023, she gained visibility as a solo artist, leveraging the exposure to release her first singles, "Homewrecked" and “Superscar." In early 2025, the singer released her third single, “MachineGirl,” co-produced by Grimes. In May, ADÉLA signed with Capitol and Polydor and subsequently released her first EP, The Provocateur, in August. - Apple Music

Really don't get why Jack always hypes up last week's number one album nowadays, he never did this in his first couple of years and hyped up the actual contenders especially if they are underdogs on paper!

I agree since it's been at least these last 3 years if not longer that most albums only really spend a week at number 1 unless it's massive aka Olivia Dean or Taylor Swift.

ADÉLA yesss! Looks good fo her to go top 20 next week then with an album release boost!

ADÉLA a future top 10? Can see Apple finally updated its playlists to support - rising fast there now. Should help continue the song's momentum to another new peak next week?

Ain't in La has been really growing on me recently, hope we see this go top 20 very soon!

Biography

Temper City is a Los Angeles-based Israeli rock band whose stylish single, "Self Aware," became a viral hit in early 2026. Members Eytan Peled, Chen Kordova, and Aviv Barenholtz had all previously worked as producers and songwriters for various Israeli and international acts before forming Temper City in 2021. With its moody alt-rock tone reminiscent of 2010s bands like Cage the Elephant and the Neighbourhood, "Self Aware" was released in February 2026 as the trio's debut single. It went on to reach charts around the world, including the U.S. where Temper City became the first Israeli band ever to make the Billboard Hot 100. - Genius

This clearly shows the lack (or the missing data) of streaming in the midweek updates.

Glad this dropped from the mids, was worried it would go top 20

Biography

After winning Album of the Year at the Grammys for 2022’s Harry’s House and securing the year’s best-selling single in “As It Was”, Harry Styles could do just about whatever he liked. He chose to take up long-distance running in Italy and hit the clubs in Berlin, where he discovered a font of liberation that would power his 2026 follow-up, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.. “I remember going out for the first time in Berlin and standing in the middle of the dance floor,” Styles told Apple Music, “and feeling so unbelievably free and safe that I just had my hands in the air and my eyes closed, and I just felt these tears streaming down my face. And it was this moment of, like, ‘I feel so alive right now.’” His post-One Direction career has been defined by just such spontaneity, making him one of the more interesting and adventurous pop stars of his era. Born in Redditch, Worcestershire, England in 1994, Styles made his solo debut with 2017’s “Sign of the Times”—a deeply felt piano ballad that slowly but surely took flight—and a sturdy self-titled first album. Then he handily reinvented himself on 2019’s Fine Line, a more daring pop statement that could comfortably accommodate the breezy radio catnip of “Watermelon Sugar” alongside quirkier forays into era-hopping funk and soul. Harry’s House felt even more personal and idiosyncratic again, often playing like his own private dance party. Which brings us back to his Berlin sojourn and Kiss All the Time..., an album offsetting its more upbeat percolations with equally rhythmic yet fairly subtle turns. It leans into creative catharsis rather than commercial calculation, which makes sense given the international reset and early-thirties career re-evaluation that preceded it. “The key thing was, while I was away from it all, I missed it,” he told Apple Music. “I missed it because I love it, and I still love it.” - Apple Music

at least their new single from last week went absolutely nowhere (~730k global Spotify streams all week) so hopefully Temper City'll just be one-hit wonders

Crazy how this has outlived basically the whole kissco era 🤣 not complaining as it is his best song imo but like Katy it can go now
