It's SoundClash!

In this event we celebrate the one hit wonders of the 21st century so far.

In each round, two songs will go head to head to come out on top, with each credited artist only having a single UK Top 40 hit to their name. In each case, you're voting for your favourite song. The winning songs will then go into a grand collection of one hit wonders to be voted for once the opening rounds are complete.

These are the two songs going head to head this round;

DB Boulevard – Point Of View {#3, 2002} 🇮🇹

DB Boulevard are an Italian electronic music group who became a notable name in the early-2000s European dance scene.

Grace feat. G-Eazy – You Don't Own Me {#4, 2015} 🇦🇺

Grace is the Australian singer-songwriter Grace Sewell who gained international recognition with a modern reinterpretation of the 1963 Lesley Gore classic.

You Decide!

Here is what we have had so far in this series of SoundClash;

Iglu & Hartly vs. ALMA

Vanessa Amorosi vs. Ten Walls

Divine Inspiration vs. Kent Jones

Newton Faulkner vs. Bridgit Mendler

Andreas Johnson vs. Nico & Vinz

Didn't get around to commenting in the last two topics (went for Newton and Andreas) but as I'm here early... DB Boulevard ftw

DB Boulevard:

But you missed a trick should have been

Grace feat. G-Eazy – You Don't Own Me

vs Dove Cameron - Boyfriend

as their production is really similar :)

I'm purposely doing it so a song from 2000-2009 verses a song from 2010-2019.

But do continue to make suggestions for future rounds!

Well DB Boulevard does get my vote as it's a dance classic but I do really like 'You Don't Own Me' as well.

DB Boulevard DOMINATES that trashy cover.

A song from 2022? NO PLACE for that kind here :D

From my point of view, this isn't even close! Grace, it was (G-)Eazy to vote for DB Boulevard against your bland cover!

My point of view is that Moony eclipses the competition here.

DB Boulevard unquestionably, any day of any week.

DB Boulevard.

DB Boulevard.

DB Boulevard by a country mile.

I too voted for the cleverly produced "POV" which still sounds great a quarter of a century later!
