  • I saw these leaked lyrics from the new Tater Tot song: "Ma ma pa pa pa perfect housewife"

  • So what you're saying is it's not going to #1?

Are we really going to pretend like this hasn’t been the best pop girl campaign of the year x

Really enjoying this, they sounds great together. This does make me really want new Chappell music though, hopfully next year!

The video is great as well, I hadn't heard the song completely and only really listened to this for Chappell but the whole thing is really well done, I was worried it would just be the original with a few Chappell backing vocals and ad-libs thrown in so I'm loving the fact she has a whole verse etc

This is really great. The original already was but this really elevates it!

I was slightly apprehensive about this because of how much I enjoy the original and it's become my favourite thing Olivia has done, but this works so well as a duet - it's as if Chappell was always meant to come in for that second verse!

I have seen those same leaked lyrics tbh!! Almost confirms it

Not feeling this remix at all. This feels like a shoe-horned in feature. The song is better as a solo sang, and SHOULD have been the album's lead single!!

This is awful - absolutely oversung in all places. Was also no big fan of the original version. Won't get back to this.

I love the original, vut agree about the renix.

And I also agree with Bror - I don't get the release schedule?? Why do a GaGa and Katy and release the worst singles first, and then get round to the best, if at all, at the end? It didn't work out for either of them...

Why not:

  1. Expectations

  2. Maggots for Brains

  3. Drop Dead

  4. The Cure

  5. Stupid Song

Three number ones, two top tens right there, instead of 0 no.1s and having to do features...

Except you seem to have forgotten that Drop Dead did make #1 lol

as much as I love maggots for brains (look at my username for evidence!) it isn't exactly a great lead-in single - drop dead might not be my favourite from the album but it was a solid lead-in that established the sound and themes of the album and I'd honestly say they got the singles order nearly spot on so far! (if only they'd properly shipped the cure to Radio in the US rather than making it a streaming-driven promo track)

To be fair this era she HAS got a #1, a #2 that was only denied by last minute shady Taylor Swift shenanigans and a #2 which has become her longest runner in the top 10 (and still going) so it's not like she's done at all badly.

Taylor Swift released just objectively terrible music, every last piece, and got to no.1 with everything. No one else can get away with doin that, so Taylor Swift unfortunately had the best campaign

Not expecting this to happen but I need Chappell credited for occ purposes for this!

But I’m presuming because the album versions been charting now for a few weeks this won’t be the case?! Sometimes it ends up that the remix does chart (like Love Sensation). Is the rule that if the original / solo track charts first then it isn’t counted?! Not to be that person but curious on this one.

I think the record label has to explicitly tell the chart company to credit anyone new, but the OCC can arbitrarily credit a feature too if they want to, usually because the remix is huge
