March 11, 200818 yr You answered your own question :P Oh thanks! So glad its still doing so well even though its dropped but its only one place! Im hoping Nickleback get knocked out and Alphabeat stay Top 5 by the end of the week! :D
March 11, 200818 yr Don't know why many fans are saying "wow, Tangled up is top 40!!!"... well, it was 46 last sunday! Not a big surprise. The headlines is "WOW, Change's top 40!" as it has climbed 35 spots from last sunday's position. Sorry
March 11, 200818 yr Sorry  Dont Worry! Its not your fault more people seem to be more interested in GA!
March 11, 200818 yr Does anyone know if the likes of Tesco/Adsa are selling Leona's single?? I think it's so hard to find somewhere that sells them nowdays, my HMV (which is quite a big one) has replaced the whole back wall, which used to display singles with Ipod accessories!!  I don't even know if they sell them there anymore!!?? if they do they've hidden them REALLY well!!

I couldn't find any singles in my hmv the other week either. :o
March 11, 200818 yr Yes I agree with your point, I prefer to see some acts to spend a week or 2 on top, but I think Madonna's track will go to No.1 on downloads only :cheer: , and spend a few more weeks at the top. I hope Madonna gets a No.1 with her new single. Does anybody know when it is being released digitally?
March 11, 200818 yr Author The thing is... Leona's album is climbing back up the chart, both tracks are on the album, so why will people buy the single for 3.99, people are buying the album instead of the single, this is her stumbling block.

Thats what my HMV has done too! And Zavvi/Virgin dont sell singles anymore either!! But i got mine off the net! I shopped online and got it online!
March 11, 200818 yr I think the type of people that used to buy these charity singles aren't able to anymore, (the likes of 'Dancing On Ice' viewers, who don't download) because they can't get them at their local supermarket anymore, you only have to look at the Katie Melua/Eva Cassidy No.1 from last year which sold in excess of 60k that one week, just in Tesco! I seriously think the charts have now been distanced more from the general public, and are more controled by hype, and the likes of Radio 1 nowdays! <_<
March 11, 200818 yr  dont look as if timberland is gunna make the top 10 with scream i no its the fourth single from his albulm but i cant get enough of this track

Leona's album is climbing back up the chart, both tracks are on the album, so why will people buy the single for 3.99, people are buying the album instead of the single, this is her stumbling block. I agree. The single will be bought by very dedicated fans and by those who like the song(s) and want to support the charity (that's me, for instance). People who just like the song(s) are more likely to download them in this day and age, or they won't bother and just get the album, if, for instance they also liked Bleeding Love and haven't got the album yet. Singles are - more than ever - tools to promote the artist's album. This is reflected in the climb of "Spirit" in the album chart. Toni xxx
March 11, 200818 yr  dont look as if timberland is gunna make the top 10 with scream i no its the fourth single from his albulm but i cant get enough of this track The problem with this song is people have heard it too many times as it is everywhere at the moment and have got bored of it! I used to love it and was really happy it was getting released but Now after about 2 or 3 week of the video i am like 'Bleh... it's ok i suppose'

And you are soooo right bout the hype thing you wrote!

Why isn't Leona #1 then? :P Glad to see MGMT top in the albums :cheer: They certainly had a bit of hype and deserve it imo! I don't think hype comes into it and Radio 1 certainly don't have as much control as they used to these days.
March 11, 200818 yr excuse me, but kylies been in the chart for around 13 weeks, having a peak of number five, considering its time in the chart before release top five was amazing
