I read that McFly said that their double A-sided singles that got to No1 count as two No1 singles, so if they released four triple A-Sided singles that got to No 1, they'd count that as twelve No1 singles :lol: :lol:

Both SB and GA are great. I Love both girl bands. Stop fighting over something so pathetic. I wish both girl bands go top 10, both albums rise I even wish that for bands or artists i'm not a big fan of... And to sum up: I hope Denial and CSF go top 15 by the end of the week. I love both songs.

Doug Walker is out, and probably dropped like a brick, to be honest, he only got top 40 because Chris Moyles championed it.

 

Basshunter are still Top 10, only just.

 

I don't think it's necessarily that it's "more people", it's that the GA fans are more rabid about them than the more level-headed Sugababes fans.

I think that what Westlife will have proved to McFly is that they can't automatically expect a #1 anymore. Adding downloads has really changed how people buy music. Now to give Westlife some credit, their latest album i'm sure has sold a million copies - or there abouts, and with physical releases becoming non existant, we can wave goodbye to those 3 for £5 offers.

 

What has shocked me most, and what i can't see thats been picked up so far on here, is that, if its true, Leona is #29 with her physical release. Now thats really shocking, especially as charity singles, i would assume could rely on the cd to be sold. It seems that cd singles are made only for the fans now who want to have every release. It wouldn't surprise me if cd singles were only brought online

I think thats the way theyre going! :( Coz every Single ive bought ive had to buy online! :( because the HMV shop hardly does any of them anymore!I think they sell the Top 5 physical releases but thats about it! :(

I think Woolworths occasionally stock some singles. I expect they'll have Leona's single, but they probably wouldn't have things like Amy Macdonald or KT Tunstall. (I don't know if that's definite, I haven't been to Woolworths this week)

That's really sad if retail shops have stopped stocking physical singles, that could do more damage to the singles market, they still stock top 40 in our HMV.
