Meet the Scouting For Girls of dance. This is like a remix of Now You're Gone. It even has the exactly the same "ready for take off" and "are you ready?"'s in it. Its really samey. It should be out in about June i think, but there is no release date yet. I don't think this will flop completely, but it is too samey to be another top 3. I think about #12. Its fairly awful.

Here's the video:

When i heard it i couldn't get over how similar it was. I think its got the same structure, i mean its got an instrumental bridge after the first chorus just like NYG

this is a cover of the KWS No.1 from the early 1990s...cheap remix like you say Harve...I don't hate it but I can't see it being a big hit and its a bit pointless all things considered...
I hated the KWS version and I'm not even gonna bother with this version either...
KWS is not the original KWS covered it, KC & The Sunshine Band originally recorded it, peaked at #3, KWS took it to #1

Apparently, an act named Double You were the first to have the idea of covering the KC And Co track back in 1992, Due to some balls up however, KWS stole their thunder and bagged a number one hit - Double You didn't even go top 40! BUT... following legal battles, it was agreed that every penny earnt from the sales and licensing from the KWS version had to be given to Double You!

Nice little fact for you, although this doesn't change the face that I cannot abide the song! I just think it's so corney and badly written and amazed it's considered such a classic.

:( Oh dear! This is just a slowed down version of NYG! :( Which is a shame because I really like Now Your Gone! :( But like you said i will be shocked if this makes Top 10! :(

I'm going to throw this in there, but i quite like it!!!! Infact I think I may be the only person on this site to like it

But I can see this charting ok, with a decent release date, however, I do agree that Basshunter is obviously a one trick pony, in that this is an identical version of NYG, so maybe a top 20 peak or a scrape into the top 40, who knows, cos Hard2Beat are doing incredibly well right now, could this be their first non top 10????

Awful version of Please Don't Go...
This is a cover of an old 90s song by KWS. Its absolute tripe, same formualic off-beat drivel as Now Youre Gone. Bin it.
Bin and burn it! And I hated the version KWS did back in 92 aswell!
 I'm actually liking this on First listen, although it does sound almost the same as NYG. However, still not as good as the KWS version, absolutely love that version  or the original by KC & The Sunshine Band -_-

There were two topics on this, so I have merged them. Please have aquick look for exisiting topics when starting new ones. Thanking you.

PS The songs c**p.

yeah think there's been loads of this happening within dance (and cheesypopdance) as Bob Sinclar and Thomas Bangalter were ripped off over Gym Tonic (Gym and Tonic - Spacedust) and the other night was listening to a version of Macarana by Los Del Mar (not covering the bayside oys mix but the original spanish version by Los Del Rio)
