December 2, 200817 yr Some News here.... Take That are outselling Britney Spears in the album charts by a significant margin. The group's new album The Circus is outselling Spears's LP Circus by as much as fourteen copies to one with some retailers, according to Festivalwise. The reformed boyband shifted 20,000 copies in Asda stores alone when the CD went on sale yesterday, 7,000 more than the previous record set by Leona Lewis's debut. Obviously this is not guarenteed but it looks extremely likely Britney is far behind.
December 2, 200817 yr Maybe britney's sales are soo close to TT that they need a re-count! :D I'm joking BTW..before anyone starts ^_^ Edited December 2, 200817 yr by Chrisj.

December 2, 200817 yr This was posted at chc: Take That bring their Circus to the top of the charts 12:01 | Tuesday December 2, 2008 By Ben Cardew Take That’s new album The Circus (Polydor) has taken a commanding lead in the albums chart and looks certain to score the number one spot this Sunday. The album shrugged off problems at EUK and Woolworths Retail to sell 132,985 units on its first day of release, more than four times as much as nearest competitors, the Killers’ Day And Age (Vertigo), a result that suggest the veteran boy band could be on the way to one of the highest weekly sales so far this year. Britney Spears’ new album, Circus (Jive), should secure a top three placing, having sold 24,288 copies on day of release, while Same Difference’s Pop (Syco) should debut top twenty. Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses’ long awaited Chinese Democracy (Polydor) looks set to fall out of the top five. On the singles chart, Take That’s Greatest Day (Polydor) looks set to lose its chart crown to another Mancunian group – Oasis, with I’m Outta Time (Big Brother). Leona Lewis’s cover of Snow Patrol’s Run, which she performed on the X factor in November, should secure a top three placing.
December 2, 200817 yr I really hope that isn't true though. I can't imagine how Leona could lose out to Oasis and Take That with such a huge lead on iTunes

Britney being in Top 3 doesn't suit me...i want it Top 2 at least!! lol Is her first day sales higher than Blackout at least???
December 2, 200817 yr This sounds bogus! They were #9 on Dave's chart preview, how they've beaten Leona i don't know. Not sure about it tbh
December 2, 200817 yr Singles 01 Oasis 02 Take That 03 Leona Albums 01 Take That 02 Killers 03 Britney
December 2, 200817 yr Singles 01 Oasis 02 Take That 03 Leona Albums 01 Take That 02 Killers 03 Britney I think I will take this with a pinch of salt until Martin confirms - I very much doubt that Oasis are number 1 as they were well behind in davetaylors retail indications yesterday.
December 2, 200817 yr It would be rather amusing if Oasis were number one! Yes, amusing but unlikely I feel!
