To be honest I don't think the new countries we have are a direct result of the contest being on the front page. There are always a few, and we're only just above the previous record.

 

Sorry for putting a negative spin on it! I think it's great we have new countries and more variety, but I think it's just coincidence to be honest, and possibly more to do with the longer gap between contests - remember we have two months-worth of new contestants.

I've been considering entering for months, but yes i was put off slightly by the eurovision, because that sort of annoys me.

 

Just listened to the recap video, and the quality is actually very good, considering there are contests about every 1 1/2 months getting over 40 new, unknown songs is a challenge.

 

Listening to the recap video is the best way to completely forget about the songs. I can't remember how very few go :( . I'll try to listen to each 2 or 3 times, and the recap video another 5 or so times.

Listening to the recap video for semi 1, there are definalty some great songs there but nothing too instant that makes me think like for instance On & On did last time that they will definatly be getting big points from me.

Listened to 13 songs. Standouts are M.K.L, Kylienips, Kopecka, Skall (course :P) Juranbaijan and Torchwood's entries. However i'm not revealing which order or whether they will in the end get points!

I must Admit... Franz Ferdinands song has taken me by surprise! I usually despise everything that band has made (Bar Matinee) <_< but Ulysses is actually OK! :o Whether it's enough to score enough points from me is a different question ;)
