January 9, 201115 yr Dia dhuit all. I hope that White Lies, Martin Solveig and Gerry Rafferty have made the top 40, although the last one is a very long shot. Looking at those retros, it's hard to believe that Brian Kennedy went top five 5 years ago. One of the things I miss about the way the charts have gone is that songs that sell almost all their releases in one region (in Kennedy's case, Northern Ireland) can make the chart. And yes, I'm one of those people who miss the old ITV regions. Rui de Silva is one of my least favourite number 1's, and given that was in 2001, when there wasn't many decent number 1's, it's not a good achievement.
