For me, the main one that springs to mind is the Freemasons mix of Beyonce & Shakira's 'Beautiful Liar'. IMO the original was somewhat insipid.

Skream's remix of In For The Kill is a lot better than the original.

Also the Chase & Status remix of Nneka's Heartbeat.

I'm LOVING the Wideboys remix of Firework by Katy Perry at the moment. It's basically Firework with those euro-dance instruments from Only Girl in the hook. :D

I agree with Bray for 'In For The Kill'. The Skream remix improves that song, no end!

Others that spring to mind are:

Beyonce 'Green Light'

Kelly Rowland 'Work'

Those two songs are SAVED by the remixes imo. Had they not done remixes and left the bland versions for release, they wouldn't have had as much impact as they did.

But the one song that springs to mind whenever I hear talk of Remixes better than originals is this one...

The Jason Nevins Rhythmic Remix of 'Now I'm That Bitch'. Sensational

Pussycat Dolls - Bottle Pop (Digital Dog Remix)

Absolutely amazing remix, the one they used on their tour in the end.

I never got the Freemasons remix of Beautiful Liar. I just preferred the original I guess and didn't think the remix was more than a speed up.

This however is the best remix of a Beyonce song in the history of EVER.

The MK Ultras remix of 'Why don't you love me' is definitely an example of this, and is the reason it actually charted tbh
Adele - Rolling in the Deep - Dan Clare Club Remix <3 Much prefer it to the original - My local radio station only play this remix and have never played the original :)
Jessie J - Price Tag (Shux Remix) :D
Beyonce 'Green Light'

definitely green light! i'd only ever heard that version and then when i listened to the original i like whattt this is so slow and boring. also deja vu remix is good

my favourite is the freemasons remix of the one by kylie

I think Deja Vu was fantastic without a remix anyway. Plus, the video was total :o .

There was that remix of Happy by Leona Lewis they always played on the radio too. Was that Freemasons?

Missing by Everything But The Girl

Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega (credited to DNA featuring Suzanne Vega).

I always thought this was a successful remake of Brenda Lee's original (as well as Elvis's version);

Jessie J - Price Tag (Shux Remix) :D

There's a remix of Do it Like a Dude by Labrinth which I've been hearing on the radio (mainly 1Xtra).

There's a remix of Do it Like a Dude by Labrinth which I've been hearing on the radio (mainly 1Xtra).

I prefer that version although neither are very good, Price Tag is infinitely better

N-Trance - Set You Free (Rob Searle Remix) is probably the ultimate one for me. Also - The Corrs - Runaway/What Can I Do (Tin Tin Out Remix), Dreams (Todd Terry Remix) and So Young (K Klass Remix)

Otherwise, I'd agree with the general sentiment that anything by anyone from Destiny's Child is usually better remixed
