To be honest, those people who can't differentiate between the top 5, they probably won't be able to tell the difference between them and #6, #7 and #8 either! :o

Well, sort of. 7 & 8 are quite recognisable by cheekily ripping off the classics (Lambada & Don't You Want Me).

The first good song this week is at number 9 for me.

Corrected it for you. It makes it look more impressive. :D

The order we have it in is correct.

First good song going from #1 and going down or from #40 and going up?! :o

Starting from the top, it's #2 for me, and starting from the bottom it's #40 for me. There's really not much I don't like in this chart.

Oh, they didn't "rip off" classics. It's credited sampling. They paid for them. And it's not really "cheeky", since everybody knows the samples. The songs they sample in both cases are extremely well-known. Even like 5 year-old kids know On the Floor samples Lambada.

Chart history (Year peak title):

2011 30 Just Can't Get Enough

Hard to believe that this is a remake of a Depeche Mode that is now 30 years old. But I'm not gonna make and bad jokes about it since this is charity single

Two songs called "Just Can't Get Enough" right next to each other at #29 and #30.

How many other times has it happened that two songs with the same title sit next to each other?

Can't be many. I think it happened with Hallelujah a few years ago.

THREE CONSECUTIVE #1'S FOR BRUNO MARS :o He's doing so well with this era, and ofocurse #1 album, has anyone got the chart run for the album?

I could see Marry You going to #1 too, if he releases that next. At least hopefully, since it's better than his other singles imo.

Bruno is so overrated.

I don't think so really. Sure, I don't really like his songs either, but I know lots of people that also really don't like his songs. And people don't go around proclaiming he's "saving chart music" or whatever. They just like his songs.

There's other artists in recent years who've also released mediocre music, but they've literally had 99% of people loving them to ridiculous extents, so Bruno really doesn't seem overrated in comparison to that.

Yes I know, I just get frustrated seeing that "#41" in between those #1s. :P

Would MY be moved below TLS if it's the 4th single since it would peak after TLS?

Yes it did with Hallelujah back in 2008

No1- Alexandra Burke's verison

No2- Jeff Buckley's verison

Nope, if it gets released and re-peaks then the current peak will be updated.

Any challengers for Bruno's No1 crown for next Sunday?

Not really. Most likely that I can think of is Pitbull. And maybe Lady Gaga's new song.

It doesnt matter in the slightest sceneofsixcrimes Marry You wasnt even a single, he has 3 consecutive #1s thats more then impressive enough. :dancing:

Agreed.

I think next week's top 5 will look like this:

1. Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song

2.Pitbull, Ne-Yo etc - Give Me Everything

3. LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem

4. Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar

5. Lady GaGa - Hair

Probably my favourite no.1 of the year so far. Good singer, no autotune, no electronics, simple, catchy tune. Its about all you could ask for really. And to think Guetta threatened no.1 earlier in the week-that would have been a new low for this country.

In the early days of the charts this wan't uncommon. But how often has it happened with two different songs of the same name?

There are also two songs by Romanian artists next to each other. How often have there been two songs by different artists of the same nationality (apart from the obvious British, Irish and American) next to each other?

Third tune from Inna. Typical euro-pop from her.
