At the exact same time, 'Missing you' was already #11 and #97 on its day of release.

i think there are two things to take from that - sales were slightly lower and also Missing You was out for weeks before its release. That to me means the current position of Notorious is promising

Go Notorious!!!

Although if they peak at #2/#3 again they'll just be notorious for missing the #1 spot. :(

226. Friday - Glee Cast (Rebecca Black's at #219)

232. Jar of Hearts - Glee Cast

Come on JOH. Keep climbing

But 'Missing you' wasn't released on the back of a big performance like they had on So You Think You Can Dance last night.

Sadly only 3.8m watched, everyone watches Sing if you can...So won't have had a massive impact.

They did plenty of promo for 'Missing You' however, not just one performance before release and SYTYCD guest performances haven't seemed to have much impact in the past for the artists, so it isnt that big promo.

For Missing You they had magic numbers on itv 5m+

Thats such low figures for a prime-time tv programme. I didnt even know it was on.

Reminded me to watch this performance again though, amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rK6vuyNEoIg

How many watch Sing if you Can? :o

Promo-wise 'Missing you' and 'Notorious' are on the same scale I think. Still, to compare the classic release of 'Missing You' with holding back the actual availability to buy the song for a while to the almost "on air / on sale" release of 'Notorious' is quite hilarious.

14 The Saturdays - Notorious (Up 1)

38 Wiz Khalifa - Roll Up (Non mover)

58 Toddla T - Take It Back (Up 2)

84 New Boyz - Backseat (Up 3)

126 The Pierces - Glorious (Down 1)

537 Blondie - Mother (Up 143)

Will be interesting to see how well the Sats will do throughout the week - i'd imagine they will drop quite considerably come Thurs/ Fri as they have done with the rest of their lead singles

Brilliant!

Btw, Alexandra Burke is literally spazzing out on twitter. Her new single should be coming very very soon and it's produced/written by Rico Love ('All Night Long', 'Sweet Dreams'). Another #1?

They might stall around then but then fall a little less quickly as more people start to hear it.

I doubt they'll fall that much this week. They are getting alot of music channel support (various shows such as Saturdays vs JLS, Saturday night with The Saturdays, plus on The Box/Viva/MTV etc) and surely that'll only increase as the week progresses?
Before The Saturdays get into the top 10, I'd like to say that we have an all male and GaGa (or all male? :kink: ) top 10! :P

Halo - Beyonce #92

Sorry asked this yesterday but why has this come back up? Didnt see an answer.

Has the Glee version of RITD not been released?

Also, is the Christina Perri original of JOH even out on UK iTunes yet?

The Sats still making good progress, I've only heard a short bit of the song but it sounded decent enough from that clip.

On a completely unrelate note, I only just noticed they've fixed the credit for 'Where Them Girls At'. :D
