I guess it's good though. I think almost everything else in the chart follows the standard verse/chorus/bridge structure which we've all been hearing our entire lives. Nice to have something a bit different once in a while.

I sort of agree but here the verses build up something special and then happens what...absolutely nothing.

And they're a pop band who live or die depending how their songs sell, admit it or not

There is no chorus in Notorious!

That rhyms. They should throw that lyric into their next single.

If that rhymes for you you're saying one of the words wrong.

Much better than generic american urban male though ^_^

I'm sick to death of both - if we knew at the start of 2009 that electropop would become this overexposed and dull, I'd have given you back GaGa, La Roux, Little Boots and the others.

Don't be ridiculous. I'm sure it must have a chorus somewhere. They tailored the song to be chart-friendly, and a chorus is, possibly THE most important thing to put in a song if you want a chart hit. It's the bit that's supposed to get stuck into people's heads so they don't forget it.

Chorus and Notorious rhyme, what's so hard to understand about that?

No they don't. You'd have to say it "Notorus" if it was to rhyme. The "ious" makes a completely different sound to "us".

If you pronounce chorus, 'chorius' or notorious, 'notorus' - maybe.

If that rhymes for you you're saying one of the words wrong.

Yeah, they do rhyme. I don't think you'd make a very good rapper!

Much stranger words than "chorus" and "notorious" have been rhymed before!

It doesn't have a BIG chorus. I hate when Sats fans say there's no chorus because it's quite obvious the "i'm the outlaw, i'm the big boss, i'm the gangsta on the dancefloor" part is the chorus (that's why it's in it after every verse!), just because it's not a huge chorus doesn't mean there isn't one. And the song has tons of hooks (ah-ah-ahhh's in the background, "look in my eyes do you recognize me", "oh-oh-oh" etc) to stick in peope's minds.

kor-us

no-tor-ee-us

Those don't rhyme to me.

You can pronounce Notorious like "No-tor-yus" to make them rhyme.
