Adele down to #5 with 19 and still at #2 with 21 - what a massive flop she's been this year :(

(In all seriousness though, good to see 19 kicked Glee out of the top 5 :D)

Discussion Thread Here

As I expected, absolutely love this on first listen  Not as good as Ignorance or Brick By Boring Brick though.

Someone said on Facebook the other day that Paramore are becoming 'too mainstream' with this song. Er, I don't hear it, this is possibly their least mainstream song since they broke through. (Partially because the term 'mainstream' has changed since they broke through obviously)

I swear there's some people who just see a song do well in the charts and accuse the artist of going "pop" or "mainstream". And I bet a lot of the people that do that listen to nothing except rock music anyway, so they probably know nothing about pop music. As someone who listens to a lot of mainstream music, I don't think Monster is particularly mainstream at all.

And we can add that Inna song to that list of songs I posted that need to leave the chart and make room for different things...

Sun Is Up is holding up really well though! :o

Arctic Monkeys seem to have joined the likes of Muse, Coldplay etc. in the 'every album will always go to #1 no matter what' stakes.

Inna still top 20 - very surprised at the longevity of SIU.

I really like 'Sun Is Up' now and its having a good chart run actually. Anyone know the chart run of 'Amazing'?
I still prefer Sun Is Up to Mr Saxobeat. This radio edit is ridiculously short. Good to know its still holding up, only down 2.

I agree, I don't see what's so wrong with going mainstream anyway, if a band wants to appeal to a wider audience, then that's OK by me

haha glee's album charting is as following:

volume 1 - #1

volume 2 - #2

volume 3 -#3

volume 4 - #4

volume 5 - #4

volume 6 - #6

volume 5 spoilt it haha!

So if I understand correctly dance songs should leave the chart

I don't agree sorry :(

It is not her best single (Amazing is my favourite from her), but any longevity for Inna is a good thing.
Only #19 for Superbass. At least she has her first top 20 :w00t:, want this to go top 10 at some stage though!

19  (from 22) Nicki Minaj - Super Bass [D]

Album Discussion Here

Nicki only #19 :o This is, however, the first song by a member of Young Money to go top 20 (excluding Drake's feature on WMN?, Nicki's previous features on 2012, CIO and WTGA and numerous Lil Wayne features - and BedRock obviously)
Inna should have released "Love". A bit sad that Alexandra Stan has outpeaked her.
