This is the first time I've ever heard the 50 Cent version on the radio before!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o

This song is so good. ORGASMIC! Amazing.

This has literally been the soundtrack to my life the past couple of weeks. I listen to it all the time. It's so relaxing and uplifting. My body feels all light and airy when it plays. It's amazing.

My least fave Nicole single from this era. Just because it's very 'American Urban' like J-Lo's I'm into you.
I want to see rock in the charts again! If we were, say in the mid-noughties, the Vaccines would be up there Franz Ferdinand, The Editors or Razorlight.
Marry You and Lighters are so much better than this song. I can't believe it got to #1. The only significant thing about the song is that it was on the radio all the time. Such a non-event for a #1. This year's Dirtee Disco.

It's top ten of the year so far, has had a fairly good chart run, sold more than a lot of other no.1s this year, is a fun song people relate to with a good video and is not an awful club banger/sounding like everything else in the chart. How is it like Dirtee Disco? Is it a 'non-event' just because you don't like it?

That's probably why I like them so much tbh.

Nice to hear 50 Cent too. He's featuring on Dr. Dre's next single too. I hope it gets released soon! The chart needs them!

California King Bed. Different, but so boring imo. :(

I'd include Linkin Park & Blink 182 as well.

Rock seems to actually be making a small-scale comeback this year I reckon! (At least compared to last year)

Rihanna always had one single from each era which spends ages in the lower end of the top 20, between 15 and 20. For GGGB it was 'Hate That I Love You', for R Rated it was Te Amo (with one week higher at #14) and for Loud it has been 'California King Bed' (with one week higher at #8).

Looks like that run has finished for CKB now though. 5 weeks between 15-20, the same as Te Amo and HTILY.

I don't like California King Bed at all. It's just a guitar overload. It needs some piano in it or something. I think that's why I prefer Beyonce's version.

(37) LMFAO-CHampagne Showers

This tune is better than "Party Rock Anthem" but the singing part from Natasha Kills was such an earache to listeners.

If there were more DJ's playing rock songs in the clubs, the history could be different ^_^

I just wish some of the "Indie" type songs had more forceful or vibrant vocals. Both the most recent ones ("LIFEGOESON" and "Pumped Up Kicks") have rather wimpy vocals

If there were more DJ's playing rock songs in the clubs, the history could be different ^_^

I think if they did that all the kids would just go to other clubs, because all they want to listen to these days is Judas and Dirty Dancer. :puke:

Album chart should be next - can't wait to hear Reggie's reaction when he announces Adele is back up to #1 and #3 :D

Thats why those particular songs have done SO well. Both haven't done great, so I don't think you can say that. Replace that with Party Rock Anthem and you have a point.
