July 17, 201115 yr Lil Wayne again. Who would have thought it, everything he touches is meant to turn to hit in the US and flop in the UK. The latter isn't true. It's Lil Wayne's own singles that are 'supposed' to flop here. He's never been a significant flop-maker as a featured artist. (See 'Down', 'Let It Rock', 'Survivor')
July 17, 201115 yr Seriously. All these songs sound the same! So greatful for Jessie J and J-Lo! :o Don't get me wrong, I love good club-bangers - but Christina Perri , Rizzle Kicks and Chase & Status need to enter the T40 ASAP because they don't sound like EVERY other song in the charts
July 17, 201115 yr Still like Someone like you. I wish Set fire to the rain was top 10 tonight but there's no chance.
July 17, 201115 yr Yeah I wouldnt describe either Spaceship or I'm Into You as club songs (even though I'm Into You (remixes) are played in clubs). To think SLY has sold over 1million itself, is on an album selling nearyl 2,700,000 copies and its still #30 after so long? It just amazes me. Edited July 17, 201115 yr by Karma
July 17, 201115 yr Author Over 6 months in top 40 for SLY. I wonder how much longer it can stick it out, if it falls out, it'll only return again in the future. 23 weeks is 3 weeks shy of 6 months.

July 17, 201115 yr Don't get me wrong, I love good club-bangers - but Christina Perri , Rizzle Kicks and Chase & Status need to enter the T40 ASAP because they don't sound like EVERY other song in the charts I like club bangers too (well, I used to...), but it's just wrong that they take up 75% of the chart. Good to see Mann here though. Something else different (although again, I'm braced for 5 minutes of whining from everybody else on here ).
July 17, 201115 yr 23 weeks is 3 weeks shy of 6 months. But it's on 24 weeks :kink: (Although that's still 2 weeks short of 6 months ofc) The Mack is growing on me again.
July 17, 201115 yr Nice to hear some Rnb/rap in the charts  Sounds fresh after club filler like Enrique and Chris Brown
July 17, 201115 yr The Mack :puke: thank God its falling, I'm praying this is a flop for him @Eric: I wouldn't say this is radically different, it sounds 'clubby' enough
July 17, 201115 yr Snoop Dogg 1993 20 What's My Name (Snoop Doggy Dogg) 1994 39 Gin And Juice (Snoop Doggy Dogg) 1994 32 Doggy Dogg World (Snoop Doggy Dogg) 1996 12 Snoop's Upside Ya Head (Snoop Doggy Dogg Feat. Snoop Dogg & Iyaz)[/size] Snoop Dogg needs Boom (with T-Pain) added to his discography (I think it goes inbetween Sweat and The Mack), and Iyaz needs Pyramid (with Charice) added, which I think entered the chart just before or just after So Big.
July 17, 201115 yr Nicki Minaj will be number 11 this week with SFTTR at 12, I think. But the gap between 11 and 10 on iTunes is so big, so I think ADELE will find it hard to go T10 and peak at 11  I can't wait until LMFAO get played and I go into LOON MODE you love lmfao?!dont be reading the guardian review of their new album - 1/5!!
July 17, 201115 yr Author But it's on 24 weeks :kink: (Although that's still 2 weeks short of 6 months ofc) The Mack is growing on me again. One week at 47 though, the OP said top 40.
July 17, 201115 yr The latter isn't true. It's Lil Wayne's own singles that are 'supposed' to flop here. He's never been a significant flop-maker as a featured artist. (See 'Down', 'Let It Rock', 'Survivor') I think you mean "Soldier" (Destiny's Child)
July 17, 201115 yr I like club bangers too (well, I used to...), but it's just wrong that they take up 75% of the chart. Good to see Mann here though. Something else different (although again, I'm braced for 5 minutes of whining from everybody else on here ). I'm agreeing with you a lot here, Eric. The Mack is catchy at times. And very nice. I could almost take another run of 3 club songs (which is probably what will happen) Although Notorious is very good to hear.
July 17, 201115 yr One week at 47 though, the OP said top 40. The week at #47 is its 25th week. It has 24 weeks top 40 (two weeks from the album's release, then 22 weeks since the BRITs).
