Bit of a shame I'm Into You quite a bit lower then On The Floor but OTF is a lot better even though really like IITY too. OTF is still so great after such a long time and can imagine how much its being used in clubs right now through summer!

Lil Wayne again. Who would have thought it, everything he touches is meant to turn to hit in the US and flop in the UK.

Is it just me, or is I'm Into You the first song that isn't a club banger since Nobody's Perfect at #38!?!?!??!?! :o :o :o :o

The charts NEED to change imo. This is just stupid.

Eric I'm Into You is more of a club banger then Spaceship i'd say, so on that note maybe Jessie J (both her songs) are the only 2 in the region of #40-#31 that arent 'club' songs. :o

Oh dear God, you're right. Even I'm getting tired of the same thing, over and over again. Not the fault of a single song, but we need more variety of genres around.

 More like the songs released/people buy need to change in your opinion.

The difference is that I'm Into You sounds sufficiently different from everything else. Spaceship doesn't.

And Adele sounds incredibly different. Who'd have thought I'd be looking forward to hearing the oldest song in the chart?

I agree, such a stale start to the charts :(

although here's a song that sounds different at least :D

Over 6 months in top 40 for SLY. I wonder how much longer it can stick it out, if it falls out, it'll only return again in the future.

Neither 'I'm Into You' or 'Spaceship' are club bangers.

And the Lil' Wayne songs were 'back to back' or 'in a row', not a 'sandwich'.

15 years since Wannabe! I suddenly feel ANCIENT :drama: My favourite 'new' songs from the retros are definitely Voodoo Child and Castles In The Sky  Two all time favourites of mine!

yeah i loved castles in the sky, even got the album which is quite embarressing now lol.CITS also had an interesting chart run for 2001 which was all about the first week, think it climbed to no3 eventually!!

Normally I am wanting this to leave as I am slightly bored of it, and its still a lovely song and don't want it ruined, but today after all the club bangers, this sounds so fresh and beautiful. Glad its still top 30

A guaranteed climb for Foster the People then!

It's chart run thus far stands at: (27-30-31) - I imagine it'll climb to #28, but I have my fingers crossed that it can either return to #27 or climb to #26 - just to reach a new peak.

Hopefully it sticks around in the T40 for a few more weeks - such a good song, it'd be a shame for it to fall; I can't imagine the second single doing as well - although I've purchased 'Houdini' from the album and it's probably even better than 'Pumped Up Kicks'

The difference is that I'm Into You sounds sufficiently different from everything else. Spaceship doesn't.

And Adele sounds incredibly different. Who'd have thought I'd be looking forward to hearing the oldest song in the chart?

This tbh. It's just people rapping on club beats. I got fed up of that years ago...

When Reggie did that run-through of #40-#31, it was just EMBARRASSING! :( I hope nobody from any other countries were listening. :(

I wonder if Adele could beat Love the Way You Lie's weeks in the top 40, and have the longest top 40 run of the decade (so far)!

Oh, f*** off Adele. I really don't get the hype around this girl. Rolling In The Deep was good, but this is so overplayed and whiney that every time I hear the intro on the radio I have to switch off. :( It's so god damn BORING!!
