July 17, 201115 yr Surprised the Rizzle Kicks song is not top 40. :o So, only 2 new entries left: The Wanted & Scouting for Girls

July 17, 201115 yr I like 'The Mack' but Iyaz's voice on the chorus is a bit too perfect, for example the way he says "once again, I do". Irritates me how processed it sounds.
July 17, 201115 yr I think you mean "Soldier" (Destiny's Child) I do, yes. I knew it was one of the two
July 17, 201115 yr Some people are being very 'over-dramatic' about this whole 'club bangers are dominating the chart' thing. Firstly, not even half the songs that you lot are classing as 'club bangers' are in fact 'club bangers', but infact a song that could be played in a club. Secondly, there is always a genre or a type of song that is favoured by the public at any given time and at the moment it is 'club bangers', they come and go fairly quickly, so it's not like we're seeing anything ridiculously different here. And what really annoys me is when people keep repeating the same thing over and over again. We get the idea -_-
July 17, 201115 yr The Mack :puke: thank God its falling, I'm praying this is a flop for him @Eric: I wouldn't say this is radically different, it sounds 'clubby' enough  It's less clubby than all of the other songs in the chart except Jessie J's songs, I'm Into You and Someone Like You. And the song isn't made for clubs. It's just up-beat. Rolling in the Deep is danceable aswell, but it's not a club song. It also sounds different. It's got lots of percussion in it, focuses more on the lyrics, and it's not the generic multi-layered synths like all the other songs produced by David Guetta and GenericOne.
July 17, 201115 yr For OA/OS this has done really well, considering how badly Britney did (and many other artists). The fact it's had rubbish airplay and the promotion was a mess just shows that once again, The Saturdays COULD have had a hit if only they were managed properly. :(
July 17, 201115 yr Surprised the Rizzle Kicks song is not top 40. :o So, only 2 new entries left: The Wanted & Scouting for Girls 3 - you missed out Guetta/Taio/Ludacris ^_^
July 17, 201115 yr you love lmfao?!dont be reading the guardian review of their new album - 1/5!! I don't read the guardian anyway, and chances are I won't buy the LMFAO album (I very very very rarely buy artist albums - the only one I've bought this year is Lady GaGa's BTW )
July 17, 201115 yr Snoop Dogg needs Boom (with T-Pain) added to his discography (I think it goes inbetween Sweat and The Mack), and Iyaz needs Pyramid (with Charice) added, which I think entered the chart just before or just after So Big. First one edited ;) Second one, Polyhex doesn't credit Iyaz :o
July 17, 201115 yr Author 27 (from 31) Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks [D] http://a4.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/054/Music/60/bc/0e/mzi.hslbbdcg.100x100-75.jpg Chart Run: 27-30-31-27 [4 wks] Release date: 17-06-2011 Format: download only track Label: Sony Music Entertainment Video here: SDTZ7iX4vTQ Chart history (Year peak title): 2011 27 Pumped Up Kicks
July 17, 201115 yr Foster The People back up to their peak  Hoped it'd re-peak but it's doing brilliantly anyway.
July 17, 201115 yr Foster The People having some longevity :o :o I thought this would spend a week T40 and drop out like most of the indie songs this year. I think it's because their a relatively new act, but The Vaccines never did this well.

And what really annoys me is when people keep repeating the same thing over and over again. We get the idea -_- I wouldn't mind if they sounded different. The run of songs from 37-34 sounded incredibly similar. It's been less bad since then even with the songs that could be played in a club, though, so http://broni.es/images/emotes/mlp-tshrug.png It's also the first time I've really noticed that there are a lot of the same songs in the top 40.
