October 16, 201114 yr For an X Factor winner... and all the promo he has got so far. IT IS A MAJOR disappointment that his single couldn't even make the top5. Don't care what people say I don't disagree with you at all. He might well have performed better with what is the second single 'Starlight', it still wouldn't have been number 1 I don't think but maybe could have got to 4 or 3 and it DEFINITELY could have sold the album better as it's a much more appealing single. RFYL is a bit of a dirge in all honesty. Just hope this mistake hasn't cost him already, the album is a great effort for an X Factor album.

October 16, 201114 yr Matt wouldn't have necessarily done better with something self-written - he's made the same mistake Joe made in not actually firing at the target audience. Matt hits the target audience more than Joe did with his début but it WAS the moments like Firework/Bleeding Love/Baby One More Time that saw Matt doing 'non-credible' female pop and 'making it work' that got him the victory rather than When We Collide-esque Radio 2 schtick, and judging by his stinking attitude towards anything even vaguely poppy that was never going to happen...

October 16, 201114 yr What was Joe's chart run for Ambitions? He was @ #20 second week and #40 the third. Matt is already at #18 on itunes so may be not top 20 next week.

October 16, 201114 yr Is it me or are there quite a few modern classics coming out this year, moreso than last year anyway? Definitely all Adele singles, The A Team and Jar Of Hearts will be remembered for a long time to come and there are loads of others too!

October 16, 201114 yr ODD chart run for Jar Of Hearts now, climbing up to #4 then slowly dropping before shooting straight back to #4 again. That's just the XF effect for you though, always making chart runs look weird.
