I thought it was really stunning and powerful, my whole family sat here like WOW.

Amelia Lily: 9.0

Misha Bryan: 8.5

Marcus Collins: 8.5

Craig Colton: 8.0

Little Mix: 7.5

Kitty Brucknell: 7.0

Janet Devlin: 7.0

 

 

I'd actually laugh if Amelia went on to win the show, but at the same time.. I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the Bottom 2 tomorrow. Won't all of her fans have been voting to get her back in?

Do people really dislike Amelia that much? For me, she gave a fantastic performance. I really don't know how anyone can say Janet's performance tonight was better.

This series really is shit isn't it? I used to love the X Factor a few years ago and would defend it - but now it is so contrived/hot mess/fixed now it is the singing equivalent of WWE.

Wow! :o Amelia was fantastic! One of the performances of the series! I wasn't keen on this idea at first, but seeing as Amelia is better than at least half of the 'original crowd' left.

 

I think Janet should go tomorrow. Gone off her now and tonight's performance was very boring. :(

That was BY NO MEANS the performance of the series (I think certain gays are just getting rather carried away with the whole comeback thing) but neither was it terrible. I'd say a solid 8/10 - better than it SHOULD have been for someone who has only been back in the game for 2 days, but I think there is a control issue with her voice, and she sometimes oversteps and crosses the line between belting and shouting.

For the bottom two I would like to see: Craig VS Janet

 

I think it will be: Kitty VS Janet with Kitty going.

Now watch and see Amelia go home tomorrow, but seriously that was a great performance.

I just detested the twist but she's reminded me of how amazing she is so I'm back on board. Amelia to win.

To be fair, much as I'm normally a fan, I thought Kitty WAS the weakest tonight. I think she's stuffed tomorrow.

Shoving Kitty on first means they're obviously looking to get rid now. Bah.

 

I'm so bored with this awful show. I really hope next year I can stick to my word and avoid getting sucked in all over again.

I remember there were grumbles with Leona Lewis with reports suggesting she got a free pass straight to the finals but did the typical audition process just to make it look like it was genuine. Look how far Leona's come in the last 5 years (granted 'Collide' was a big meh!!!).

 

If X Factor are looking for an international superstar who will go on to sell records all over the world - even America, then Amelia is the one we should be routing for.

 

If the public don't want to create an international superstar, but more somebody they can enjoy until August 2012 then continue voting for Janet.

I wasn't even that bothered when Amelia left, so I'm not particularly 'carried away' about the comeback thing. I just think it's been a really weak series, aside Misha's Rolling In The Deep and Janet's I Just Can't Help Falling In Love for me. It really reminded me of Stacey doing Who Wants To Live Forever, and just belting it out beautifully.

Oh come off it Hits. I'm agreeing - she's a really good contestant - and no way should she have been sent home in the first week (especially over the terminally dull Sophie) but don't you think the makers had a plan b in mind all along? I'm surely not the only person who believes that the whole twist was fixed well in advance. Also - it was obvious that she'd be voted back in given her only competition was Jonjo, James and Two Shoes.

 

I agree - win or lose Amelia will have a great career - I just don't like the way the program makers have plotted this out.

None of the finalists have a hope in hell of cracking America with the possible exception of Misha (there might be a gap in the market for a 'British Minaj'?) I think most of them will have difficulty cracking the UK.

Can I just add - I'm actually delighted that Amelia is back in the competition as it means that Gary Barlow hasn't a chance in hell of any of his remaining acts winning. Not whilst Kelly has Misha and Amelia.

OH MY ACTUAL GOD. Amelia blew me away :wub: I know I always go OTT with my love but that was the performance of the series for me! Misha also really stepped it up, back to her top form! Little Mix thankfully will be saved from the bottom 2 by the fact that it wasn't a cliche! Kitty was fabulous as well, her second best behind Sweet Dreams for me. Marcus was great again but it was a step down from his previous few performances. There's no denying Craig has talent and a voice, but it was still dull and I didn't like the arrangement. Then Janet... Well I do like her but my christ that was awful :mellow: It was so monotone, she didn't go anywhere at all.. None of the notes or anything! So so so so dull, I'm fine with her doing piano arrangements because it's what she is best at - but her vocals could be more exciting...
