Because you don't class it as 'real music', that's why it's ignorant. If you simply said "I don't like it" then fair enough, but you were implying it's somehow invalid.

But it is invalid to me. Like a previous poster stated, it has no melody and just sounds like a lot of noise to me. It doesn't sound like music to me so I can't class it as such. You may disagree and fair enough but I actually like a lot of different music styles so I don't really see myself as ignorant.

I was listening to For Emma Forever Ago yesterday and I found I had to skip Skinny Love because of Birdy. I can't damn her, she's a child but...

So because you listen to a wide variety of music you're qualified to pass comment on whether any music is 'real' or not, regardless of whether it's from one of the myriad of genres you listen to?

In my opinion, songs don't need to have melodies to be considered "music". I'd take a good rhythm over a good melody any day (although a song having both is always nice).

So because you listen to a wide variety of music you're qualified to pass comment on whether any music is 'real' or not, regardless of whether it's from one of the myriad of genres you listen to?

Where exactly did I say that? I didn't, I just said I didn't see that track as real music, and I've acknowledged that others have differing opinions on the matter. Why are you still going on about this?

So this has peaked now from the looks of things - what a non-hit! I still think this is massively underrated but it's far from her finest work. We'll see if 'Talk That Talk' does any better I guess. (I prefer You Da One to Talk That Talk but if it's true there's a Kanye West remix of Talk That Talk being released then I'm interested).

I really need to listen to Ed's album, I got it for Christmas (as well as numerous others) but because my laptop speakers aren't working i'm yet to hear it.:(

EDIT - looks like the Talk That Talk era won't be anywhere near as succesful as 'Loud', which was predicted anyway.

Still the worst thing Rihanna has ever done, so glad it stands no chance of making the top 10 afterall.

I like Take A Bow, Shut up and Drive, Cheers, California King Bed and We Ride are worse IMO but the rest of their relevant albums make up for it. Talk that Talk is just lacking

The thing with Skrillex is that it doesn't even have rhythm. It builds one for 20 seconds and then another noise comes in. Its like a 12 year old with the keyboard special effects.

I don't think there will be a Kanye West remix of Talk That Talk. :(

Rick Ross has already done a remix of it though.

Weird how 'You da One' fell 19-27, despite being around the 20-23 region on iTunes all week. I expect it'll climb next week with Birdy and 'Lego House' hopefully dropping, if #16 is going to be its peak, I'd at least like to see it hang around the top 20 for a bit longer.

Really excited to hear the Kanye West addition to 'Talk That Talk' though - it's a great single already, just hoping West's addition is more than just a rumour.
