February 12, 201214 yr Ed Sheeran, what have I told you about contaminating this chart? THIS All of his songs are boring
February 12, 201214 yr I had no idea Video Games was moving back up towards the top ten, what on earth :o Looking set to be one of the most successful #9 hits of all time
February 12, 201214 yr 'Video Games' sounds so much better when "soundtracking" that movie in the TV advert rather than just being played without any visuals. The "it's you, it's you, it's all for you" line MAKES the song though.

February 12, 201214 yr Not according to Polyhex. Oh. There were lots of different versions of the song, so I guess a different one might've been the single version. I just always think of it in my head as a T.I. song, since I usually listen to it on Paper Trail, and then I saw that and was like "Where is he?". Taio, Rihanna and Cher are no loss but I really like Breakn' A Sweat and Never Be A Right Time. I like all 3 of the new entries but the re-entries aren't particularly welcome. So no real shift in the overall quality of the top 40 :P -x- Good to see Drunk still climbing but it looks like it's going to be one of those annoying long-running top 15 hits that never go top 10 :( To be honest, out of the songs that dropped out, the only one I totally hate is Taio's song. I'm glad it fell so quickly after a "promising" start. Video Games.
February 12, 201214 yr Anyone know what the biggest selling #9 is of recent years? I'd imagine 'End Credits' is a decent shout for that, it was top 200 for an absolute AGE (and I think it's still sticking around although will have been booted down a lot by the Whitney invasion). Video Games  Brilliant to see this climbing again.
February 12, 201214 yr the nikkon remix of this is AMAZING. even moreso than the original. gave he song a new lease of life for me.

February 12, 201214 yr Anyone know what the biggest selling #9 is of recent years? 'Ego' by The Saturdays? I don't know much other #9 hits except 'Stay Too Long', 'End Credits' and 'Eenie Meenie'. I think STL is on 210K, EC on about 250K, EM on about 300K and Ego is just ahead at 320K. Edited February 12, 201214 yr by shadow2009
February 12, 201214 yr If anyone's interested, the following songs have dropped out of the top 40: Taio Cruz - Troublemaker Rihanna - You Da One Skrillex and The Doors - Breakn' A Sweat Cher Lloyd feat. Astro - Want U Back Professor Green - Never Be A Right Time To make way for new entries by will.i.am, Madonna and Lil Wayne plus re-entries from Rebecca Ferguson and Maverick Sabre. FLOP :P

Should overtake "Ego" in the next couple of days.

The only #9 hits that come to mind are 'Video Games', 'Born to Die', 'Ego', 'Nobody's Perfect', 'Sober' and 'Eyes Wide Shut'. Oh and 'Last Friday Night' obviously. :D Edited February 12, 201214 yr by SceneofSIXCrimes

February 12, 201214 yr 'turn me on'   shame it just missed out from the top 10, but considering it's not a proper single here it's doing well. the best song in the chart right now, the best song to come from both artists involved.
