The charts are more than 10 years old :lol: There are probably many many many huge #9 sellers before 2000?

 

I know but I only started following the charts six years ago. :P

 

'The Voice Within' also got to #9 but then that was only 8 years ago. :lol: I actually can't believe it's that old. :o

I assume by 'U + Ur Hand' you mean 'F**kin' Perfect' based on the timescale of the rest of the songs you've mentioned (although U + Ur Hand did peak at #10 as well so maybe not, just seems a bit out of place :P)

 

Other #10s since 2010 are 'Higher', 'Young Forever', 'I Need Air', 'My Name' (by McLean, as this is an incredibly anonymous song), 'Best Behaviour', 'I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It)', 'In My System', 'Safe', 'Hold My Hand', 'This Day' (Emma's Imagination), 'Leeds Leeds Leeds', 'Lighters', 'Bass Down Low', 'Save The World' and 'What Do You Take Me For?' :P

 

Quite a lot of good songs peak at #10 it seems! :o Although My Name was such a boring and forgettable song imo. So nothing-y.

 

This Kelly Clarkson song has done really well I think!

I thought this would flop just like "I Do Not Hook Up". I was very wrong. A top 10 hit is fantastic :cheer:

No I meant U+UH. It's the first song that I think about when I read "#10 hit". :D

I do love all three songs in the top 10 so far, but there needs to be a shake up because it feels stale with all these one place drops (to allow Will.I.Am in presumably.)

Thinking in terms of girl-groups, 'The Loving Kind' got to #10 and 'See the Day' and 'Can't Speak French' both got to #9 - they aren't memorable #9/#10 hits though. :P

 

Didn't 'Thriller' peak at #10 in the UK (or was that the US?) when it was released in 1984?

still in love with this song. I don't get how it's getting so much hate, it's a catchy pop song with a female vocalist. or are people just judging on their debut single again?
