I always say "Usfland" as "You-seph-land" with the YOU-SEPH being pronounced like the eph in Joseph.

 

Some countries name however just remain too hard to be pronouncable and hence I just remember it for the name (Ghosthunter and Dandy's country are 2 examples..)

Skall is just like "scall" (scally), only I decided to spell it with a K. It's not exactly a word you'd expect a country to be called but w/e.
