How come Blue Jeans has had such a big boost, and Born To Die and Video Games back in the top 80? :unsure: :yahoo:

There is a banner for Lana on the front page of itunes. I guess that's the reason for their boosts?

Blue Jeans :up: to #48. Perhaps with a price reduction it could become a top 40 hit for Lana? :D

Really thought that 'Blue Jeans' wouldn't make the top 40, so I'm very glad that it's looking likely to get there now! :D Thank you mysterious boost from nowhere!
Blue Jeans got played on Waterloo Road tonight, it probably didn't have a massive boost from it, but it probably helped. They played the whole first verse and chorus. :)

"We Are Young" :up: to #3.

"212" :up: to #9.

"LaserLight" :up: to #32.

"Too Close" :up: to #34.

"Here Comes The Sun" :up: to #45.

"Blue Jeans" :up: to #47.

I wondered this aswell. I thought Blue Jeans was going to flop real bad, because it wasn't even in the top 100 at the start of the week on iTunes.

I happened to hear the song for the first time today. I like it on first listen, but not as much as Video Games and Born To Die. I think Born To Die is my favourite of the three.

Blue Jeans isn't as instant with the other two, but I listened to it a few more times and got hooked. Born To Die is still my favourite though. It would be a nice birthday present if Blue Jeans got into the top 40 on iTunes today (Yes, I am sad.) :D

Blackout up to #12 now! :yahoo:

Hopefully it will be UK top 10 next week.

I don't really get why 'Blackout' is doing so well - it doesn't sound like the type of thing the UK public take a liking towards. Even weirder is that it's actually consistently climbing on iTunes during the week, though it'll likely debut around #16/17 (#23 in the midweek update). Then again, stranger things are happening right now (i.e. You Me at Six spending a fourth week inside the top 40).

Can Usher please hurry up and overtake Bieber? :( Great to see fun. overtaking anyway, I think they'll be close to Carly by the end of the week.

:up: 31. LaserLight (feat. David Guetta) - Jessie J

Lots of tracks from commercials seem to be appearing, I wonder if Jona Lewie turns up with "You Will Always Find Him In The Kitchen At Parties" from the Ikea ad, I love that song.

Here Comes The Sun - M&S

Electric Dreams - EDF

Too Close - Internet Explorer 9

Laserlight :up: 28

Breathe Carolina :up: 11

Will this knock Chris or Azelia out of the top 10?

Edit: Laserlight :up: 24

Moving fast now! :o

Come on 'Laserlight'! Deserves to be a big success for her. Can't wait for her new album though! Hopefully we'll get that by Q4 this year. Plus, another tour would be nice.
LaserLight is moving up fast, I wonder if the track is a dark horse for #1 :o with the support from The Voice surely its heading in the right direction.
It just struck me when listening to the chart show every week recently, there's really not that much of it compared to before.

And most of the artists that do do it, they're urban anyway, they can easily go back to non-electropop music when they want/need to. It would be nice if in a few years it's not very popular anymore. I think 2006-2012+, it's been enough now to be honest. It wasn't so bad at first, but last year was just really a joke. Maybe how over the top it got was a part of the reason Adele blew up like she did, she was just SO different to everything else at that point.

2009 was the peak of this era for me when I gotta feeling and Bonkers got to no1, also Someone like you being performed on the brits had the opposite effect and saw the end of the electro pop era and the beginnings of an alternative music creeping back in!

After a bit of a search around the Internet I've discovered that Lazy Jay is Belgian - so there are two Belgians in the iTunes top 10 at the moment :o

Glad 'Laser Light' is already in the top 30, means it's less competition for '30 Days' when it's released.

Speaking of The Sats, apparently Mollie is dating Prince Harry. :o
