Katy Perry has had such an amazingly successful era! :o An album, a re-release, eight singles and a movie! I love the meaning behind Wide Awake although it's not in my top three singles by her.
It seems katy perry only has to release a music video to get a top 20 hit these days.......
Wide Awake = the better version of ET

Preferred (Kanye-less) ET tbh

In the UK, maybe, but in the US, Wide Awake was #2 on iTunes before she released the music video, and E.T. got to #1 before she released the music video.

Love how CMN's chart run is echoing that of 'Young' by Tulisa.

Probably because they're equally as bad as each other

Thought Wide Awake would've been in the top 5 by now, seeing how quickly it climbed a few weeks ago

I much prefer E.T. but Wide Awake is also amazing, she hasn't really gone wrong this era tbh! California Gurls is my least favourite probably but still an easy 9/10.

Album Discussion Here

I wish Tim Westwood presented the chart show.

It would be better than this loser to be fair.

Surprised in all the chat about future numbers etc no one has mentioned Conor Maynard - yes is likely to peak highly then drop like a stone; however seeing as sales are likely to be low, could get number to number 1 in a couple of weeks
I reckon Karmin 'Brokenhearted' will be massive whenever it's released. Possibly getting #1 but certainly having good sales and a long chart run?

I did mention him as a contender :P I know Can't Say No didn't, but he won't have as much competition this time.

on the same topic, I really hope Little Talks by Of Monsters & Men can become a hit when its released, I think it could be possible
