September 19, 201213 yr Midweek Charts: Killers Battle to head albums countdown Source: MW Having debuted at 2 last Sunay, Xenomania/RCA act Amelia Lily's You Bring Me Joy now drops to 6 and Syco's Little Mix fall 407 with Wings. There is a one-place fall to 9 for Interscope/Republic's Owl City/Carly Rae Jepsen pairing Good Time. Looks like a Manchester City fan was drowning his sorrows last night
September 19, 201213 yr Top 40 Albums 31-40 34 Nelly Furtado I never imagined she'd miss out on the top 10, jet alone the top 30! :o
September 19, 201213 yr Great start for Carly in the top 10! I just hope she can hang in there for the next few days!! :D
September 19, 201213 yr Very disappointed to see The Script at #1 for a second week as Say Nothing won't be likely to overtake Hall Of Fame at all. It's a very average song in my opinion. The charts really need shaking up, which is why I'm excited for the chart battle between One Direction, Swedish House Mafia and Leona Lewis in October. :D Does anyone know why Justin Bieber's As Long As You Love Me has re-entered by the way? I think it's been mainly boosted by default after 10-odd new entries last week.
September 19, 201213 yr Joe McElderry could easily stay top 10. Remember 'Classic' stayed top 5 for five weeks! I definitely can't see him falling any lower than #15 or so this week anyway. PSB on the other hand will be lucky to scrape the top 50 for a second week. I really hope 'Cruel Summer' is on the album chart somehow but it won't be. He's fallen to #24. :o & Ronan Keating out of the top 40 already. These two albums could struggle to go Gold. Edited September 19, 201213 yr by truly talented
September 19, 201213 yr Ooh, glad to see the 'P!nk ahead' was BS and The Killers are easily set for a fourth #1 album out of four studio album releases (5 out of 5 for Brandon). Sold in its first 2 days more than the majority of the #1 debuts this year sold in their first week. Disappointing but not surprising to see '#3' already ahead of 'Coexist'. 'Bad 25' seems to be getting combined to the original 'Bad' which is interesting considering they didn't do this with 'Thriller'/'Thriller 25' which is exactly the same situation - I suppose they'd now combine those two, like they suddenly decided to start combining 'Back To Black' and its deluxe version. Would add some legitimacy to combining the chart feats of 'Thriller 25' with those of the original. Surprised to see so much interest in the new version of 'Bad' anyhow - how much longer are they going to continue trying to profit from his death? #8 and potentially lower by Sunday is a very poor performance for 'Kiss' after how massive 'Call Me Maybe' was but I could see the album sticking around for a long time and making up for the poor start. And at least she's doing a hell of a lot better than Nelly Furtado - even with the lack of a hit single and pretty much relying on just the Red Or Black? performance the other week, only the 11th highest new entry behind the likes of the guitarist from Bon Jovi is pretty pathetic. I predicted it'd get to #33 overall but that has turned out to be a bit generous for even its Wednesday position! I certainly wouldn't have predicted some of those other new entries to be higher than her (and oddly one of the releases I WOULD have called as entering higher than her is actually lower - We Are The Ocean doing very poorly considering their support from Radio 1). Really surprised at how much Joe has fallen so far as well. Week of underperformances! On the upside Plan B still in the top 10 despite 3 new releases and a re-release ahead of him :D '21' still clinging onto the top 20 as well. Edited September 19, 201213 yr by Bré
September 19, 201213 yr Wednesday Update Top 40 Only Source: Radio 1/OCC/MW Top 40 Singles 6-10 8 Dappy 11-20 16 PSY With PSY's dominance on iTunes now, i'm hoping 'Gangnam Style' can edge into the top 10 by Sunday. Dappy to officially enter at no. 11 :P

Surprised to see so much interest in the new version of 'Bad' anyhow - how much longer are they going to continue trying to profit from his death? Probably, because I know it's nothing to do with the situation that Nothing but the Beat and the 2.0 version has (where the original songs from NBTB are in a different order on 2.0 version), as the original songs that appear on both Thriller & Thriller 25 Bad & Bad 25 are in the same order. I hope that made sense by the way!
September 19, 201213 yr gutted about nelly furtado, its a good album. looks like the single will bomb next week :(
September 19, 201213 yr A couple of days ago I'm Like a Bird came on, and all these girls nearby were like "Oh, I love Nelly Furtado blah blah blah", but I bet they haven't bought her album. :(

As far as I'm aware there's been next to no promotion for it, Bog Hoops had a bit of airplay but that's months old now.
September 19, 201213 yr so 10k is the difference between the killers and pink. Could pink close the gap? I suppose i really depends on how front loaded the killers sales were or for that case pinks. Will be interesting to see if there are any friday sales.
September 19, 201213 yr I'm on the opposite here I don't think I can listen to a whole Killers album but can with Pink (maybe because im a massive loon of hers ) I'm not bothered they (Killers) are number 1 though. Pink being 2 is still fantastic and who knows might grab number 1 at somepoint. Edited September 19, 201213 yr by Rob Summers
September 19, 201213 yr Shame for Nelly Furtado, I'd have thought that she would be at least on the brink of top 10 in such a poor sales climate. Mind you, I'm still kind of amazed it was even released.
