Emeli Sandé will almost certainly remain top 10 throughout the entire massive Christmas sales period, plus she has a re-release coming out. Unrelated but hopefully 'Skyfall' and another Christmas sales spike can see '21' clear the million mark again in the year end chart.
September 25, 201213 yr Why is it random? Lack of buzz? Have any of the singles even been playlisted on any main radio stations? I've certainly not heard anything from the album. It all seems quite low key. If it wasn't for Billie Joe's rant the other day I doubt that many casual music buyers would have known about the album and is there really much of a Green Day fanbase still? I was thinking it might not even reach top 10.

Speaking of which, I'm thinking that her Bond theme is as close to a certain #1 we have post-One Direction. And Muse will flatten Mumford & Sons next week. It's only when you get to November that you can expect big albums to maintain their first week sales for more than a week, M&S will drop a fair bit next week and certainly won't manage the 100k they'd need to hold on.

I was thinking it might not even reach top 10. I know 6 music, radio 1 and even radio2(thought they might have played a slower ballad) have ignored their release - strange!!

I'm inclined to wait until this week's sales are known for M&S before I predict how low its sales will fall in week 2.
September 25, 201213 yr Would that be enough to get them top ten with the sales like they are at the moment (excluding M&S obviously)? I think we can stop using that reason now. We're hardly going to be seeing the Top 5 struggle to sell over 10k for a while! :P

September 25, 201213 yr I don't think it'll be as "crushing" as people think next week between Muse and M&S. None will sell more than 110k next week, but it will be over 100k for both. Wouldn't surprise me if there was just hundreds of copies separating them. The Killers are on Alan Carr soon, so hopefully they'll be able to remain stable for a while yet. :D

September 26, 201213 yr Muse's last album, 'The Resistance' (September 2009) opened with sales of just over 148k, so I can definitely see them getting 120k at least; which'll surely be enough to pip Mumford & Sons off the summit. Fantastic that the top 2 albums next week may get over 100k though - it's been far too long since this last happened. That was after a top 10 lead single though - this should do maybe 90k like the killers imo! Also after next week - its another month until we have another block buster album isnt it? (Robbie). September 26, 201213 yr Mumford and Sons are off to an extremely strong start, album number 2 is a cert for success now so they will get by been a one big selling album wonder. Best top 3 album chart in a very long time. Do we know where Kylie is on the singles chart?
