October 7, 201213 yr I have to admit that I expected higher of Anything Could Happen, but in a quieter week I think she could have quite easily been #1. I hope it sticks around for a bit though, it's got a very mature sound to it that I like. I would never have expected it to outsell any of the four releases above it, I thought it may struggle for top 10 initially so I'm glad with how well its done. Great comeback
October 7, 201213 yr If Swedish House Mafia was released this week and replaced One Direction in the Top 5, it would be the best Top 5 of the year!
October 7, 201213 yr 4 Adele - Skyfall [D] http://a1.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/081/Music/v4/b2/70/45/b27045ec-2ece-d046-7df4-1c3d85e1ad05/886443673632.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 4 [1 wk] Release date: 29-10-2012 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: XLS593CD Label: xl Another graduate of the BRIT performing arts school (as is Leona Lewis, Katie Melua, Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash...), Londoner Adele Adkins was voted the hotest new talent in the BBC's 'Sound for 2008' poll. October 7, 201213 yr Aw, wanted Adele to be Top 3, but to reach number 4 after being released on a Friday and released on a week with other big releases, it's done incredibly well! Can't get enough of this song! I'm sure it will go down in James Bond Theme history.
October 7, 201213 yr Was hoping 1D would stall at 4 after their pathetic attempt at promotion on X Factor last night. Oh well.
October 7, 201213 yr If Adele climbs to #1 next week, then it'll be the first time a James Bond theme has hit the top spot. None of the previous 22 have made it as far, although Duran x2 did get to #2 here, and #1 in America.
October 7, 201213 yr Excellent - this was what I predicted for Skyfall from the beginning of the week.
October 7, 201213 yr Why? #4 is AMAZING on two day's sales. If Adele climbs to #1 next week, then it'll be the first time a James Bond theme has hit the top spot. None of the previous 22 have made it as far, although Duran x2 did get to #2 here, and #1 in America. I'd say it's almost a given.
October 7, 201213 yr Shame she couldn't get ahead of One Direction at least! Skyfall for #1 next week!
October 7, 201213 yr Skyfall must be one of the fastest selling singles of the year on the fact that Owl City ft. Carly Rae and Kylie's singles were also released on a Friday and yet never reached Top 10 on debut weeks. Adele is the first person to reach top 10 having released on a Friday.

Owly Rae Jepsity released their song on the Wednesday and still missed the top ten.

October 7, 201213 yr #3 for One Direction without 'Skyfall' pushing it down, that's a shocker. I never would have imagined this at all, but it's well deserved for being a poor re-hash of 'One Thing'.
