Are you saiyng you're capable of mind-reading?

It's not up to you to tell people what they should, or shouldn't be ashamed of!!

There's some artists I'm delighted to see in the top 1000 on iTunes. Some people just have lower expectations.

This, basically. Two spots below #1 isn't a flop. It might not have performed as well as people expected, but even I can admit that 1D's hype hasn't exactly rubbed off in the charts, WMYB aside. Justin Bieber's the same.

JLS already had 3 no.1s at this point in their career plus a no.6 that stayed in the chart more than 5 seconds. This was the most pre-ordered single ever from a pop group no one has been able to escape from during the past two years and taken from an unreleased album. Since Adele is no.4 and, fairplay, they're going up against Rihanna, they should AT LEAST be no.2.

Hate comparing, but while you mention it, how well were JLS doing worldwide at this point in their career?

Does anyone have any news on when Adele and Rihanna are releasing videos for their recent singles?

Love Diamonds! Really makes a change from her previous lead singles.

Great for 1D, whatever anyone else says. ^_^

Oh stop deluding yourself. This single has as of right now been a disaster and #3 for an act of their size and with their fanbase is nothing short of terrible. Accept it.

This tune, Is OK from Nikki but did you hear about her riff with Mariah Carey on AI that got leaked online

I'll believe what I want, thank you. :)

That's pretty irrelevant to the issue. We're talking about the UK charts. And besides, I don't even recall JLS trying for America back in 2009 so you wouldn't even be able to compare.

I'll believe what I want, thank you. :)

Well if you want to continue being a deluded loon then that's entirely your choice. Sorry for trying to knock some sense into your Harry Styles-addled skull.

I've never denied being a deluded loon, but I also think it's a tad deluded to call them flops with a #3 single.

1D would have got #1 if they held it back for months. I applaud them for not doing that.

I am NOT a fan, but i loved WMYB and like this one, and i expected it to go to #1, but it really isn't a flop in the grand scheme of things. The band have further cemented their hold worldwide by shooting to #1 on iTunes everywhere. Born This Way 'only' got to #3 when Gaga was at one of the biggest points in her career. It went on to sell loads though, and i guess it was an awkward midweek release, but i guess we have to wait and see how well LWWY does in the next few weeks. If it manages 200,000 only it probably will go down as a flop

Say, for arguments sake, no.3 IS pretty good for THE BIGGEST GROUP IN DA WORLD ZOMG. The true test will be the next four weeks. If it's not top 20 after that then it truly is a FLOP no matter how you shade it. But that may not happen. Time will tell.

don't you worry, don't you worry child~

Knew this SHM song would be massive the first time i heard it!

So from 2007 to 2012, Rihanna has at a #1 hit.

2007- Umbrella ft Jay-Z

2008- Take A Bow

2009- Run This Town with Jay-Z & Kanye West

2010- Only Girl (In The World)

2011- What's My Name? ft Drake, We Found Love ft Calvin Harris

2012- Diamonds

Has anyone else managed to have a #1 hit in six straight years or more?

Deluded people generally aren't aware they're deluded. Hence the word 'deluded'.

The Beatles had at least two number ones every year from 1963 - 69.

The Beatles did 7 years 63-69 and Elvis did 57-63

It's a flop by their standards and frankly everyone besides you can see that. If they can stick around for ages then yes, it will have worked out in the end but as of right now it's certainly a disappointment. During this entire release you've been making positive post after positive post about 1D and it would be nice to see some realism for once.

'Diamonds' is very good and I suspect a grower. Certainly a lot better than 'Take A Bow' and 'Only Girl (In The World)' in terms of her #1s and possibly better than overrated 'Umbrella' too based on the one time I've listened to it. Her other three #1s are all really good though so I don't expect it to join her top 3 best #1s even if it does grow a lot :P
