I don't see how it is, given what everyone expected and their profile.

Skyfall must be one of the fastest selling singles of the year on the fact that Owl City ft. Carly Rae and Kylie's singles were also released on a Friday and yet never reached Top 10 on debut weeks. Adele is the first person to reach top 10 having released on a Friday.

EPIC FAIL :(

I don't see how it is, given what everyone expected and their profile.

That's the thing - everyone overestimated it. A #3 single is nothing to be ashamed of, no way.

Your crying on the inside!

I'm afraid you're wrong.

OK, ok definatley this year. But please be aware that Candle in the Wind DNC when released on the Saturday.

And when did Lady Gaga release on a Friday or something? Maybe a Thursday?

Do you have a basic lack of knowledge of stuff before you post and just post for the LOLZ?

It sold 658k in one day to debut at No 1 on 20.09.97

Afternoon! Happy for Muse in the albums, apparently sold 108,000 copies.

Happy for Adele at number 4 after 2 days of Sales :D

Please be aware you are talking out of your rear end :D

Candle In The Wind debuted at number 1 in its first week.

For 1D and their fans it's something to be ashamed of. Plus I'm afraid you might have a denial problem! :P

I agree. One Direction have done absolutely fine.

Don't worry, everyone is quick to get on the flop bandwagon (me included sometimes :drama:), but when you actually think about it they've done really well. Everyone was the same with Tulisa and Dappy recently, and probably about Thriller a few decades ago when it got to #10 (no i'm not comparing any of these songs to Thriller btw )

tbh, i think i would've preferred Gangnam Style at #1 over this dull new Rihanna track

This is disappointing for 1D whatever you say - it was widely expected to be number 1.

JLS already had 3 no.1s at this point in their career plus a no.6 that stayed in the chart more than 5 seconds. This was the most pre-ordered single ever from a pop group no one has been able to escape from during the past two years and taken from an unreleased album. Since Adele is no.4 and, fairplay, they're going up against Rihanna, they should AT LEAST be no.2.

Are you saiyng you're capable of mind-reading?

It's not up to you to tell people what they should, or shouldn't be ashamed of!!

There's some artists I'm delighted to see in the top 1000 on iTunes. Some people just have lower expectations.

HAHAHA at One Direction dropping to #3 and not even behind Adele. #4 is what I predicted for Adele with a small chance of beating PSY to #3, really never expected 1D to drop behind him.

Good to see Ellie get a third top 5 hit too, probably a big sales gap between 5 and 6.

I wasn't, I fully expected Tulisa to have her 'What Do You Take Me For' all along. This is a bonafide underperformance for One Direction, and that is undeniable.

OK, ok definatley this year. But please be aware that Candle in the Wind DNC when released on the Saturday.

And when did Lady Gaga release on a Friday or something? Maybe a Thursday?

---

What an excellent top 5 this week (One Direction aside) Great to see Rihanna continuing her run of getting at least one #1 per year since OH SEVEN.
